How do you guys and gals cite information on your eBooks?

*Note: I assume most of you don't, because you actually know what you are talking about.

By using citations? There are official formats for these. A quick Google search should show you examples.

No disrespect, but how the heck do you make the connection between using citations in an ebook and not knowing what you are talking about?

As one of my professors used to say "Ain't none of us as smart as all of us." (and yes, he deliberately said 'ain't')

Giving credit where credit is due is not a sign of ignorance. It's a sign of integrity.

On the other hand, I have megabytes of so-called information products with zero citations and no clue about what they are talking about.

As for how I do the citations, it all depends on the citation and the source.

      > A quick statistic might get a parenthetical cite of the source on the spot.

      > Actual quotations may get traditional footnotes or end notes, or get their cite on the spot as above.

      > More general citations, where I'm using the book or other source for background info or specific techniques, generally go into a reference or resource list in the back of the book.
