The trouble trying to sell a site on ebay

I listed a site on ebay out of cusriosity.

I know i made a mistake to set a reserve ($500), but i do not want to give this away any cheaper.

I even spend some money on the "first page feature listing", but the problem is:

Its 9hr to the end of the auction and in the 7 days the ebay auction page only had 32 (!) visitors....

So how the heck would you flip sites and make some nice profits if literally no one visits your auction pages?

Yeah, there are a lot more viewers, and targeted ones at that, from SP.

However, Ebay is a great place to sell sites as well. Perhaps your headline isn't grabby enough. If your headline and subheadline are catchy enough (like 'this site makes $xx through adsense per month!'), then you should get more interest in your listing.

It will deter people from visiting your auction page if you set a reserve price (esp. when it's $500!), on eBay people are looking for a bargain, having a reserve price will make people think that you are out to make a big profit out of the sale.

The best is set the opening bid low without reserve, and make the bidding war goes to see where it can take to, of course the risk is that you have to prepare to sell to the highest bidder even the final bid didn't reach your expectation.

I was looking at the completed listings from $300 to $5000 and noticed quite a few selling
for 1k or more. Most were sold for much less, and of course many no sells.

I'm aware of eBay, Sitepoint, and DP, for selling of websites. what other sites are there
        for selling sites?

I'd like to know the secret to selling these sites for a good return on eBay as well.

the problem is that my sites "look good" but there's no real revenue. Those are new sites made primarily for flipping.

If i look at SP the prices are just rock-bottom (i will never give ANY of my nice blogs away for $50 and peanuts)....and the only ones selling even CLOSE to $500+ are the sites where people have PR and provide proof like "makes me 1000+ a month in adsense".

My sites are zoneobama.com and strictlyobama.com which i made in the assumption that the obama sites/names go for a LOT...

I just dont think that flipping is that easy as some people want to make us believe. Its a "peanuts" market and only lucrative if you flip a LOT and sell them, say, $80+ a pop, many a day.

It is hard, but not impossible, to sell a sight based on the design
and just the domain name, although you have semi-good ones.
Websites usually sell for 5-10 times what they make per month.
