Hey Warriors,

I recently got a really premium domain that is already brandable, it is 10 years old.. I had alot of ideas for it but I decided to make it a review site..I hired a designer and started adding content to it, the site started to rank slowly and my ranks jump between 5th and 7th page without backlinks..I am targeting around 15 - 20 keywords and 3 of them are ranking slowly, I did add around 11 articles to this website and the pages are indexed.

Yesterday I was doing a search and found out that my main keyword EMD " without hyphens" is available for 69$, it is 6 years old and recently was not renewed , this keyword is competitive and has alot of potential..the keyword is the only thing in the domain without any additions.. I am not a big fan of EMD since it has been abused but this domain is really good and has age.. so its not new and it was developed until it expired tho it doesn't have alot of backlinks

Now I am not sure what to do, I already wrote articles on my original brandable domain, so I am confused, if I choose to go with the new aged domain that I will buy then I cannot do a 301 redirect since I will use the brandable domain for another project.. I am not sure how Google will treat it if I do move the pages to the new aged domain..Should I

1) Stick with the brandable domain that I started with ?

2) Move the pages as they are to the new EMD domain and ask Google to deindex them from the original one? would that be safe?

3) Rewrite the content and use the new aged domain?

4) Develop the 2 sites with different content in the same niche and compete on the top positions ?

My brandbale domain is great and the other EMD is great with the keyword in it :s..

Thanks.

Zaco

    Hi Zaco
I am not an SEO guy but it seems to me that the way to go with this is have both sites up and running and if you get both on the first page you will be getting a bigger percentage of the traffic as you are taking up two spots

    Hello Zaco,

I vote for number 4 because you already put a lot of effort into the one site but may ruin both sites if you move the content.

This sounds like something that you are into so it pays to add some extra effort and develop a second site.
