How To Find Hot Niches With Dead Simple Market Research

Hey Frank, I have a question for ya:

When I was searching for niches yesterday (while using this methodology of course) I found a broad niche, with an available domain, with 25k searches a month, and only 40k competing pages. To give an similar analogy used in this thread, it was like this (theoretical of course):

Broad niche: "sony game systems" <---Example
25k exact searches a month
40k competeing pages (with quotes obviously, additionally the top 10 results are shopping pages)
sonygamesystems.org available

So, in this instance, instead of creating a single product related site, should i use some scripts and create an Amazon store front? What do you think?

Thank you for the 'dead simple', as you say, way to research niches. It'll be almost impossible to miss the mark now.

I continue to be amazed at how many great tools Google hands to us. They really do just want us to populate the net with good information. Of course, they make a bundle when we do. But, I'll take a leg up from the master any day.

Brilliant video and a right to the point.

Anyone struggling just a bit should see this and it will be one more arrow for their respective quivers for the seasoned folks; if they decide to watch.

I will agree with the other comment that in order to get the best out of this process you need to be analyzing the competition and the actual product sales or affiliate opportunity as well. It's great to find market niche opportunities but what you do to mine them later is what counts.

A great post and idea.

I would just tweak it up a tad. After finding something here that looks viable, in additional to Amazon, also check eBay completed listing and see how sales of that product are doing. If sales are good there, you can add a WordPress plugin or phpBaypro or simply some code to an HTML site to send people to deals on eBay for that item.

Not to mention checking Clickbank for a related product.

If you're doing reviews, and regularly adding regular blog snippets to your site and doing all kinds of other traffic generating activities, you could do quite well in a short period of time. ESPECIALLY if it's not the same old, same old golf, acne and acai berry thing!

Question..once you find the niche, you can't always find a product to promote on Clickbank or Pay dot.com to match it can you? I have run into this quite a few times.

If the specific tool is only available in the US just use a us based proxy and you should be set.

There is literally a ton of ways to do niche/market research... I don't know how I struggled with it before

here's the most basic info...

1 find what's selling over and over
2 find reaccuring problems...

Has anyone tried making a directory site with this info?

For example, let's say that baby bedding is one of the hot niches. You create a baby bedding site with separate pages for disney baby bedding, racecard baby bedding, vintage baby bedding, and any other sub-niches that google shows to be searchd for and lower competition.

Could be a good SEO site structure and way to generate money from multiple subniches while only making one big site
