Hello All,

I own a forum plasterersforum.com my competitor is redoing his forum ect and is calling it "The Plasterers Forum".... is this right?

    If he was ripping you off, or if you had trademarked the name... then you might have something. But if all he is doing is competing with you doing his own thing, then no, it's part of business having competitors.

      Sure. Why not? Unless you've trademarked that phrase, which is unlikely. Naming things based on the profession or area of interest is a common approach.

      Look at it this way...

      He's promoting your URL.

      Why wouldn't it be allowed, it's not as if you own the rights to everything to do with plasterers forums. Plasterers forum is just a generic phrase that cannot be owned by anyone, therefore you don't own any rights to it.
