Yes there is a simple 3 step process to make Wordpress plugins compatible with your HTML sites.

1. Install Wordpress blog to your root domain
2. Transfer all your old site content to Wordpress blog
3. Delete your index.html file.

All Wordpress plugins will now be fully compatible
with your site.

there is a plugin that converts wp sites to html because they load much much faster - there are plenty of html plugins around -- and tehy are easy to install -

however i suggest you install wp
