Want To Be A 4 Figure A Day Internet Marketer?

If I could give people one piece of advice, it would be focus on Traffic & Conversions.

It doesn't matter what business model you use, it's all about traffic & conversions.

Whether you're doing CPA marketing, Amazon marketing, Clickbank marketing, email marketing, article marketing, it all comes back to driving high quality traffic to your offer, and then converting it.

If you did nothing but focus on this for the next year, you would be totally amazed at the results you get. Focus on becoming a traffic and conversions expert and watch your business grow.

That's my 2 cents worth anyway.
Anyone care to share your thoughts?

The only thought on this that I am capable of sharing with you is that I agree: traffic and conversions are a pretty good way to guarantee success.

So, based upon your experiences, how long did it take you to figure out that generating traffic and getting high conversions is probably a good idea?

Thanks for that link. An excellent post which lines up with my exact thinking.

I particularly like the quote "The people or marketers who control the most eyeballs make the most money day in and day out... It's that simple..."

I agree that email marketing is powerful, although I must confess I have got into this late.
I've always focused on SEO, driving laser targeted traffic to my websites through keyword searching.

Sadly longer then I would like to admit.
I fell into the 'push button to make money' category when I first started, instead of thinking about it logically.

I guess the important thing is that I realized it after a couple of years or so. Better late then never I guess

It's interesting. I only ask because it seems that when we (or others) start out, somewhere along the way we lose sight of the "basics". Then, one day, when we've finally come "full circle", we get a moment of clarity and realize that the devil's not in the details, the devil is in the basics.

Breaking it all down, concentrating on 1) traffic and 2) conversions makes success easier to visualize...okay, yeah, then the devil's in the details!

Yea you are dead right. Whenever I am feeling a little down or overwhelmed with what I am trying with internet marketing, I remind myself about traffic and conversions. It definitely helps clear my thinking, and remind me about the basics.
I now have a memo that I read to myself each morning reminding myself that I am in the business of focusing on traffic and conversions.

Definitely, traffic and conversation are incredibly important if you want to earn such a handsome amount on a daily basis. To setup such a business though, you need an immense amount of focus. Most people, even though they might have a solid business plan, end up deeming it impossible to make a good amount of money from the project and move on to their next one. Give your project time, guys, and the money will follow.

Yes, and list building or building your own network; it accounts as much at 90% of our profits in many niches.

Traffic and conversions are critical, but so is building your network. Some marketers collect e-mail addresses, others collect phone numbers (you mobile marketers you), and others collect addresses (yes, post cards still make people a lot of money today).

Really simple but great advice. I lost rather much money on ad swap because I don't focus on conversion. I do SEO only for now because I think it's the best traffic source, regardless it's free (it actually cost much on backlinks)

Building a loyal and trusting list.

A list of 10000 with a average 25% conversion rate is better than a list of 100000 with a 1% conversion rate.

    Quality over quantity.

Sometimes, we focus on traffic alone and forget about the conversion part of it. Putting the two together brings in the need to search for sources of real targeted traffic.

My challenge was that I was focusing on the traffic for so long, once I started to get the traffic I was like, "&%@* where are all the clients." There is a moment when you start doing internet marketing and say, "Oh build it and they will come" was a practical joke.

While I still want more traffic, I also am more concerned with split tests and conversion rates these days.

While traffic and conversions definitely the two key components are, people tend to neglect a lot of other factors in previous stages.

If you think about getting traffic and conversions you will realize that this is only a result (or the lack of getting traffic and conversions could be titled as a lack of results).

However, the initial component that makes all the difference is working with THE RIGHT system.

Most people struggle with finding a system that works for their budget, skills, available time, resources, etc. Even if you have a system that works, it doesn´t guarantee results because you still need to work it.

I found it useful to know what I´m naturally good at and what I enjoy doing. I will focus about 80% of my time on things I´m good that. This means that most other tasks, and projects are outsourced so that there is enough time to focus on the right things.

If you have more time because most of your work is outsourced you can both invest more into skill development, building relationships, developing products; simply building a stronger business based on leverage.

This is what it all comes down to, a very simple focus I like that. I started out trying SEO and made the first page on a few of my sites several times but I realized I am not a big fan of SEO at all as I would much rather buy traffic and quickly see what works and what doesn't and scale up or move on. Even though it is more expensive I put a higher value on my time and the thought of waiting 60 to 90 days hoping google plays nice and you hit the first page just kills me. And even after ranking and building links and all that you could STILL lose it all overnight.

SEO is something I would definitely add on the side though once I have found something with PPC that will work. SEO is now kind of like the icing on the cake for me.

    From my personal experience...

Traffic and Conversions are without a doubt the most important factors to an Internet Business, however what you need to ask is "What type of conversion" am I looking for.

    A conversion could be a

    1. Click-through on an Adsense ad
    2. Click on an Affiliate link and then a Sale
    3. An email submit on a CPA offer
    4. A sale on your product

Each type of conversion has it's own best practices, and if you are in the business of using a diversified structure of revenue streams then you know the most important factor is split-testing.

    A real case example.

I have one site that I make $1,000 per month on via adsense.
The same site makes $1,000 per month via affiliate programs.

My CTR on adsense is 1.36%
My CTR on affiliate is 10%

If I can make my CTR on adsense upwards to 4-5% my site would make $4,000/Month, since it is a high CPC site.

However... to do this, it would be best to remove affiliate links and other sources of outbound links, so the only thing the user can do is click on my adsense links. However, I would be forfeiting income on my affiliate stream.

    So you split test.

    The result....

I turned the site into a 3% CTR via adsense = $3k/M from that site
I decreased my affiliate income to $300/M doing my change.

Wow this is really interesting. This is taking it to a whole new level, that 99% of people don't bother with.
