I think that about 5-10$ is a reasonable price.

      Basically:

Time it takes you * your hourly rate * profit margin = your charge

If your charge is higher than well established competitors then maybe it's not a wise choice.

Take a figure you would like to make PER HOUR.
Divide that hour into how many logos you can produce.
Divide that figure per hour by the amount of logos you can produce.
Thats how much you should charge.

    Example:
Want to make $40 per hour
    Can make 3 per hour
Then you want to charge $13.00 per one. (Rounded down)

    Hi
    Here's a tip, head over to videohive.net.
Checkout the video intro's, logos etc and see
    what they are charging.
If you think your work is better charge accordingly...
    Cheers

I ran a successful landscape design and installation company for over 20 years. The company has been in the family for 3 generations.

Where many of my competition was really playing up the fact that they were the best price in town, I was openly 3 times more expensive. While the competition was placing classified ads stating they were giving the first hour for free or a free consultation, I would place an ad stating we would have on opening within the next 60 days.

20 people would call and want to pay a deposit to get a consultation in 60 days.

    Positioning .... leverage ... profits

Now first off. my father gets a lot of the credit. He is the type that would get up in the middle of the night, during a raging storm and make sure a clients new plantings were not getting damaged.

It helps that three of my designs have been in the bigger magazines ... One was published in BH&G

When our county built a new courthouse ... I bid the job at cost ... for 6 weeks, the local paper was doing updates on our progress. The only apparent profit I received for going low dollar was a small plaque thanking my company for our generous donation.

That plaque still gets me 25 calls a month.

Don't let people tell you it is required to be competitive in pricing. Set yourself up to be the go to source for quality .. but you must be able to back it up.
