Me? Just kidding. There are dozens of mentors for newbies. What is your main goal? What do you want to do online?

Each mentor will teach different things of course.

      Hi Mike H,

Specifically I am looking to start as an Affiliate Marketer. I heard the best/easiest way is to start with Click Bank Products, with using Word Press is this true?

      Thanks,

      Daniel

I firmly believe for genuine newbies - Google / this forum is the best mentor over real human beings.

Before the teachers go defensive hear me out !

When your new there are multiple streams to go down to make money... affiliate physical products / sell digital products / offer your services / CPA / PPC / advertise... its a good idea to look at them all and try them out with the basic information on this forum and google.

A mentor will specialise in one area, get a feel for everything first, then decide on a human mentor.

Check out this forum for mentors. There are plenty of them as there are niches to explore. Once you find that person that you can relate too, and they can prove their worth stick with them.

You'll have a lot of fun with the process but I do recommend spending time within this forum and checking out all the different opportunities that are available to you

"Best" is relative. But I'd put my money on fellow Warrior John Taylor. I've only heard great things about his coaching.

It depends what do you want to do.

If you are interested in AdSense niche sites I would recommend Trent Dyrsmid from OnlineIncomeLab

The free mentor and very good one (if you're willing to devote yourself) is this forum along with Google.

Hang out here in the forum and you will learn a lot, also you can watch the people who put out quality products... affiliate marketing , brain johnson is good for that and so is mark ling, these are now big timers...but have good courses.. It also depends on how much you have to spend , and may be it is better to join a group like warrioir forum or earn1k by dennis becker other than the war room, these are low cost and you eill make good friends and partners along the way as well as finding some mentors.

      Thank Sriram,

I have been "hanging out" here daily now and am finding great value in it. I will research the members you have mentioned and check out their offerings.

As far as spending goes, I have spent approx $1,000 on course/training material already with no return yet, so I'm hoping to earn some revenue income before investing, although if there is something worthwhile, I'm open to investing a little more.

      Regards,

      Daniel

The best mentor is going to be different for everyone. There are plenty of good ones out there if you want to get into affiliate marketing etc - but everyone's personality is different and all kinds of things. You could take two people who want the same outcome, but the "best" mentor for either of them could be a different person.

Go thru the Warriors Forum, I believe you'll find lots of mentors that will guide you in different path of Internet Marketing, CPA offer, Affiliate Marketing, Website Flipping etc..

Personally, I've learned a lot from Alexa Smith posts and threads (Article Marketing, SEO and Content sync etc) for FREE!! She someone you should definitely look out for as well..

    Hope this help,
    Jeremiah

P.S. Be careful and real conservative to whom you take advise from

I totally agree with most of the replies here.
I will add only one thing to take into consideration:

A Mentor will teach you all the way from scratch to a specific aspect of "how to make money online". That's not bad at all IMO. And most important, he will save you lots of time, and belive me the Time is the most precious value you will have, not only for this business, for your life as well.

Researching over the net, will be very time consuming, and I bet you will suffer the common saying "INFORMATION OVERLOAD". This can be very frustrating because over the time you spend, you will find little success.
I am not saying that this does not work, to the contrary because you will learn a lot, but for starters it could be to much overwhelming.

I promote myself Chris Farrells methods, I started also with him and I can asure you that all the above mentioned is true, happened to me also. The key thing to stay "tuned" is just to do one thing at a time, learn, understand, and then impement. Feel free to check my signature link if you would like to receive more information, but of course don't stick with one opinion, best thing of internet is that you have plenty of people willing to help, just ask around and you will find your path in notime.

    Hope this help!

I dont think these is any one "best mentor". Its down to individuals.

If you are going to invest a chunk of money in getting an online mentor (which I recommend you should do), then you need to do a bit of research first. Check out the Warrior Forum, get the feel for a few people, get on a few marketers lists, check out reviews of products from other people.

By doing your research YOU will eventually get a good vibe/feeling of someone and be willing to invest in a mentoring program with them.

My mentor is straight talking and doesn't beat around the bush in what he says and I like that. However theres people out there who wont so like I say its down to you as an individual....

IMO a coach would be best suited, a mentor might not have the necessary 'overwatch'. That said Ive spoken to a fair few mentors in general marketing and they have provided very solid advice.

Whatever you feel would work best for you. Budget, time, requirements, all are factors.

A paid coach I would highly recommend though.

It will also depend on what business model you want to follow.

Do you want to be an affiliate, a product creator, copywriter, PPC expert. Too vague a question but IMHO I quite like the old skool guys who keep it simple.

On a total tangent I think it's good to have a 'coach' or be part of a 'coaching program' to help stay focused on one model only.

Don't want to be an ass. But here it goes; the best mentor in IM is.. EXPERIENCE. Trial and error will get you closer to your goals than just following something laid out in a video course or eBook.

The question was for a newbie mentor. Chris Farrell is the man. He teaches from the very basics. And I mean basics, you start on his site learning to build a website. He gives you a very direct path through all the material on his website, all you have to do is follow it.

The only thing I was a little concerned about when I first started following Chris was that some of his material was from two years ago, so for example he was using an older web editor in some of his videos. That web editor still exists and still works, but I was more interested in learning on wordpress........just so happens he has a video series on wordpress

The good news is, Chris' site is going through a total update and revamp....all the videos will be up to date and there are a ton of other tools on his website to get a newbie up and running.

To summarize...I highly recommend Chris for the newbie

and yes I am a fanboi
