Avoiding the new kid on G's block phase?
I have built myself four sites in a month and they are all bobbing around in the Sea of Serps at various different positions - much like a group of fresh noobs precariously afloat upon half inflated rescue Dinghy, some of them might not make it nay, but the strong should survive, I hope!
One site has gone way out into orbit into the backend of Google’s nether regions - she is not even on the first 1000 pages (I figure I pushed too hard, too soon with the backlinks).
The others are floating up and down and all around. None are yet to reach front page. I am ok with the lack of frontpageness, they are but youngsters and so all in good time.
I do however wonder - if I had perhaps purchased some domains by auction, with a bit more age to them, could I have avoided the precarious stage I am now weathering? If you buy an established domain, does that help you avoid the proving ground or is that established purely on when big G indexes your new creations?
I ask because already my noggle is again impatiently brewing up new ideas. I can already see the eventual namecheap bill from paypal sitting in my inbox, followed by fresh yarn of wordpress spooled out to the vast, large interweb.
