Any good guides on getting traffic to a opt in page?

I am trying to build a list... but getting traffic to it is the hard part... i dont have a huge budget so trying to keep it minimum and learn it before getting into it. any suggestions pleasE?

I need a guide or video wso on how to get traffic to my opt in page...

    No budget means writing your own content and building your own links, organic SEO. If you stick at it, in a few weeks/months you'll be making money provided you can write fairly well.

    Put a "real" squeeze page up, put an enticing link in your signature, and post here in the forum. It may sound very basic, but you say the problem is getting traffic, and there's a ton of IM traffic already right here in the forum. I checked your link out just to see if that was a squeeze page or not. You might also want to cloak the link with a tracking url so you know how many clicks you're getting.

    Instead of getting traffic to come to you, bring your squeeze page to where the traffic already is.

    You don't need to buy a WSO to figure out ways to drive traffic man.. There are TONS of different ways to do it, but you need to find out what works best for you and what you enjoy. Once you identify a couple strategies that you have success with, you can start to expand on that. Check out my signature link, I have a free course where I share all the different ways that I drive traffic.

      So you have a limited budget?...

      If you have created your own product and offer 100% commissions, you could get affiliates or website list owners to promote your product. That's using leverage.

      If you don't have a product and your sending traffic to an opt-in page and pushing other peoples offers...

      Then writing articles, posting on blogs and forums is an option for you to get very targeted traffic.

    You could always set up a free WSO. I know you don't have a big budget, but if you could get together about $100 you could literally rake in hundreds of leads with this method.       These are great suggestions, but many people may want to build a list and do it a niche that is not IM. To do that, you have to resort to good, old fashioned elbow grease. SEO, forum marketing in forums that are in your niche, guest posting, video marketing, social media & Bookmarking, backlink campaigns, and of course (You know I'd get there eventually, Alexa) article syndication.

      If your on page SEO is good, and your content compelling, the subscriptions will come, but it won't be overnight. One other tip is to pass really great content to those that are already on your list, and remind your subscribers to forward the emails to others they know that may enjoy the info or find it useful. Have a subscription link on each email to your list so that if it is forwarded, the recipient can easily subscribe.

      It would be better to actually sell the wso. That way you know you don't have a list of freebie seekers.

      If you are going to create a WSO, please don't just rehash others products actually offer something unique and high quality.

    There are many free tips on how to generate traffic to your website. just search on this forum and you can get plenty..

    Like other people have suggested set up a WSO and any keywords you use will be picked up by the search engines.
