Motivation, Determination and Observation!

Hi, My name is Michael I am 17 years of age and I have been in the internet marketing since I was 15. yea I know your wondering "15? LOL" im sure just like me everyone has their fails, excitements, positives, negatives and so on.

I have honestly failed probably around 1000 times with very little success. By now I know this is not going to be a fast, get rich money idea --> honestly that is what I thought when I first started (I was younger and stupid) I have a couple of active niche websites a couple of amazon niche sites. My biggest paycheck with Adsense was $400 in 1 month.

What keeps you motivated in this field? When I first started, I honestly did not know what 'WSO" meant or "niche, adsense, affiliate, ppc, cpc, ctr and so on". I currently work at a small construction company and im on the computer around 6 hours every single day.. When someone fails so many times how can they keep going? When someone is so clue-less how can they keep going? When someone spend's so much money on every little **** idea and everything fails, how can they keep going? I have seriously thought of quitting all of this, a couple of times, but I keep thinking "I did all of this for no reason?" Truthfully I do not know. I just don't want to give up hope and all of this is for no reason.. I would say my main motivation is thinking of success at the end.

Determination is a difficult word when it comes to internet marketing, seo etc... I learned within my first year if you dont take action you wont get anywhere... I also see this same phrase all over forums and websites alike. I really love the WarriorForum simply because of all of the nice people and amazing knowledge. Its funny --> When I try to tell my family of some of my websites or try to explain it to tell them they just laugh and do not understand anything while in the mean time I sound like nerd 101.. I believe everything happens for a reason.. The human mind is very sophisticated it can only take so much depression and negativity. Honestly in the beginning, that is all it is. (well for me, at least)

When I say Observation, that mainly means learning all of the internet marketing talk.. I remember I use to talk to people on skype and they said something like "ppc" and instantly I went to Google and searched PPC. I did not want to sounds or look stupid by asking etc... I was at a point where I bought every "get rich now, ideas" everyone failed.. I took things into my own hands I learned onpage / offpage seo (good enough), Keyword research, coding and much more.. Man I love youtube .

Some of you guys might know Kevin Lam he is someone that I really look up to and he gave me the faith, motivation and determination in ways he would never know... Thanks kevin!

There is not 1 specific reason why I made this thread. I just wanted to tell some of you guys my experiences and maybe it will help you out.. I would also love to hear your thoughts etc. Thanks a lot !

-Michael

I must commend you; you're obviously one smart young dude -- making money at your age, working 2 jobs, etc., and never giving up -- VERY IMPORTANT!

You'll go far with your spunk and appetite for success, no doubt about it -- Just keep at it.

Thank you Michael for this thread i know I'm feeling pumped
A young man like you with so many failures and still have it
in you to carry on awesome.
What is failure any way it's something that we have been programmed
with from a young age. look at your business and relax and just ask
the question why is this not working YET (because it will just have faith)
relax and ask again but don't try to answer just ask the question you need
to be patient the answer may not come immediately your unconscious knows
    what to do doesn't it.

Thanks for the mention, Michael. I really appreciate that. I'm glad I was able to encourage and motivate you to strive for more. There's a lot more success when you know where to look and take the right action at the right time.

No matter what higher power we believe in, that higher power only gave us the abilities that we have, but it's up to us to harness, embrace and utilize it.

People normally ask us what we'd do when opportunity comes knocking, but who said you can't chase opportunity down? That's what I did when I was your age and I made more money than anyone I knew.

But remember to only chase down one opportunity at a time though... at least until you know how to manage it and do more than just one. Learn to replicate yourself in automated ways.

A master of 1,000 weapons is no match for 1,000 masters of 1 weapon.

I'm running after multiple opportunities and markets right now, but I do so only because I can. When you get to where I am, it does become a bit easier. It's still hard and you have to work your butt off, but you gotta know what the pay off can be to keep pushing.

Aside from your hunger for success, you have to find the REASON for success.

Don't ever put money first. Think about the things you get from achieving the success and obtaining the money. What is TRULY behind the money? That is the passion and drive that will push you to eternal success.

Take care, Michael, and I'll see you around.

Michael, I am sure your post is going to help out a lot of people, specially people in your age bracket who are experimenting with internet marketing.

It just goes to show that if one applies themselves, anybody can, with a whole lot of determination, observation and motivation, succeed in this field.

I'm glad you have taken the time out to make this thread. You might be Kevin Lam for somebody else who is reading this!

  • Hey Michael, great post.
I'm 30 years old now, but If I could turn back time to when I was 17, I'd like to have half your wisdom!
You have a great future ahead if you can focus and keep sticking at it from such a young age.
By the time you're 27 you will have been in the internet marketing game for over 10 years, and there is no way you won't be making a full time living if you stay focused and keep working at it.

    All the best.

holysony you got a huge quantum advantage when it comes to teens near your age. While they're in college trying to land themselves a job and accumulating masses amounts of student loan dept... you'll probably have a nice $5,000 a month income online within a matter of years. I hope everything works out well for you.

Failing is not too fun. It is great that there is something that is so fun at the end that you are able to keep going after the fail. This forum often helps me to get my groove back when I am disappointed with some results.
