What was your first video like?

I just wanted to write on a subject
that everybody can relate to. Many
newbie internet marketers are terrified
to press the rec. button and for good reason
when you press that rec. button it means
you are opening yourself up to the
world and letting the masses into your
home.

I sat in front of the camera for about
an hour before I hit the record button.
Actually that entire week I sat in front
of the camera for an hour. I would ask
people on forums if I was doing okay and
I ran into some serious brutality, some people
told me that I should never do video again,
consider getting away from the camera to
have success.

Didn't stop though and I do at least
five videos a day in the time it took me
to just hit record.

So my question what's your story about
getting on the video camera and becoming
comfortable? Or what's holding you back
from actually getting in front of the camera
and doing your videos?

My first video was crap to say the least!

I think it's difficult when you first do them because you kind of feel like you're talking to yourself so it's hard to keep talking the entire time.

Another thing is that I found I was overly critical on how I looked and sounded, so Camtasia videos were the way I decided to go!

I recently tried to create my first video but did not like it,
especially after playing it and seeing or hearing myself on video
mainly because of my voice, didn't sound or come across like those
great videos I have seen with professional speakers ie. Todd Gross.

Anyway I have decided to now create a video using pics & text only
with music playing in the background.
