Flip or develop domain

Hi all,

I have acquired a .com domain (biggersalary). There seem to be some valuable salary related keywords judging by Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

I wondered what the views of the forum were - is this a valuable enough domain just to list on a service such as sedo and cash in, or shall I develop it into a general landing page for the specific salary keywords?

There's some stiff competition from sites such as 'glassdoor' and 'indeed' when it comes to salary information websites, but my view is there is probably still enough breathing space to rank well for a subset of the high CPC/global monthly searches for salary related keywords.

What do you guys think?

    I would try to flip this domain, but only after trying a few things 1st.

    Targeting a less searched keyword and
    developing the domain into a general landing page for the specific salary keywords
    like you suggested sounds like a great idea. Or having the page redirect to
    another domain or site that you would like to get traffic to.

    After you select the right keywords and get some traffic then make your
    decision.

    I always say continue to develop while it's for sale. It will increase in value, just make sure you keep adjusting the price along the way.


    I did a quick check and "bigger salary" isn't a very strong keyword phrase from a pure search perspective.
