Question regarding a niche I just found

Hey everyone,

While I was searching for popular niche, I came across a very strange keyword that had over 100,000 views per month. So I decided to look further into this niche, I then found a long tail key word in this niche that begins with "how to.........". This niche has only been around for about two years, and there is a pretty big buzz surrounding its community. So here are the stats that I found on the Google ad words tool.

Advertiser Competition: Average

Exact Monthly searches: 14,800

Average CPC: 0.34

Google Search results: 63,900

My questions are:

1. There are quite a few " How to " videos that I have found on YouTube and a few blogs on Google that show free content on his niche, is it a good idea to sell a product in this niche with all the free info on the web?

2. What is the best software software to use to track my competitor's site to see if this product sells or if he gets a lot of visitors?

Well, I can't answer the second question, but the answer to the first one is that people will pay for information that is otherwise free because they're often too lazy to go find it. If you compile a lot of free information from numerous sources, then I'm sure people will buy it. For example, a list of .edu blogs to post on, or an even better example: how to make money online. It's free to learn, and yet people pay for that info all the time.

Yes! You can make money in this niche since there is a big market out there, the more people that are looking for the contents, the more potential customers you have, the best is if there are not much competition in this niche yet, make a search to see if there are anyone selling the same information that you intended to sell.

I searched the first four pages of Google, and only found four affiliates promoting a product in this niche. The first two rankings with Google are YouTube videos, so I think I can make a killing in this niche.

For software, check Jonathan Leger's site. He has some clever tools that could help. KeyWord Spy is another great tool.

Way to go pj! Isn't it nice when you finally "get your groove on?". I'm still looking for that niche but I know that someday I'll find it. It usually happens when you least expect it!
