Well I"m trying to get a clean slate for wordpress with a new theme new content new everything. Basically what I want is the same domain with the "Hello World" wordpress set up you get when you start out. Never had to deal with this problem before, I first tried uninstalling it directly from hostgator but I got some "index" code that would show up on the homescreen of my website after I deleted wordpress. I tried to reinstall it and upload the new theme but it looks terrible, like theres no theme at all, no arrangment, just a verticle line of text.

I'm running on no sleep so I hope you guys understand my question hahaha, thanks in advance.

    Actually it is very very simple.....

    Ask your hosting company to RESTORE your account and as soon as they do it you will get everything FRESH

      You can use the cpanel file manager to delete the files, then use fantastico to install a fresh Wordpress.

    Dear Ploduh,

    If you want to start-over with your Wordpress, you can try the following tricks;

    1. Use the CPanel File-Manager to Delete Wordpress files, then use fantastico to install a fresh Wordpress.
    2. Request your hosting company to REHASH your account and as soon as they do it you will get everything just like day one.
    3. Using FTP client (cuteftp, filezilla, powerftp, etc.) login to your host account. Delete every file under public_html folder.

    Always remember to delete and make new MySQL database. If you use the old database for the new wordpress install. I am afraid you will have so much of the unwanted data in form of Category, Posts, Pages, Images, etc.

    If you find this post helping, please say thanks -- Your feedback feeds my helping angel what makes me help the needy people just like you

    You also have to delete the databases from your hosting account. You can do this through the file manager on your cpanel. A good hosting company should have a support number to call to step you through this process if you are unsure how to do it. Just deleting a wordpress install does not remove the databases from your hosting account.

      If you used Fantastico or Softaculous to install Wordpress (as I always do), it's even easier. Just go back into the dashboard and remove that installation of Wordpress.

    Jon: You still need to remove the databases manually using your file manager on your cpanel.
