Do you own a membership site?

Hey Warriors!

So I bought Matt Wolfe's WP Cash Cow WSO. I was extremely pleased with as I've been wanting to get more into membership sites. Now... if you've purchased this WSO... you know it's not exactly the answer to building the most professional membership sites... But it's a great step by step course on how to use simple plugins to achieve membership functionality with a basic site. So given that I'm not yet able to invest in expensive software to build EXACTLY what I'm looking for... I figured this would at least give me the start up and begin bringing in some income so I could do so in the near future.

Now, this is where I need your expertise. I'm using the default WP theme for the basic membership site I'm building. It's seems to be the easiest to work with. HOWEVER... I'm confused as to how to add content that's not in downloadable format (without purchasing expensive video players and whatnot). I checked out some free video player plugins... but it seems that they ALL give you so much trouble.

Any suggestions? I also have my autoresponder hooked up to automatically add them to my list once they've payed the subscription fee. Maybe deliver content through email? But still the content must remain protected.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Sorry if i misunderstood your post, but do you want to add content to your membership site that is downloadable or not downloadable?

Ideally, i would like to add it to the pages. so they're not able to download it. Downloading would lead to the issue of sharing to people who have not purchased the subscription... correct?

So my issue is finding an easy to use video player that would allow me to add video to the site rather than a file that they could download and after that... do whatever they wanted with it.

      Any ideas for solutions?

the issue I've noticed is that when i attempt to change the theme... the plugins don't work correctly.. so I'd like to keep the default theme but customize the pages in a way that allow me to add secured content.

What membership plugin and video plugin are you using?

I'm not using either really.. I'm using the plugins that Matt Wolfe listed.. the combination gives the site membership capability. there's a restricted plugin that allows you to restrict certain pages.. and a register plugin. Once you've combined all of them with a payment method (paypal subscription) and I'm using aweber for autoresponder... it has the functionality of a basic membership site.
