How To Make a Facebook Welcome Page

Most of you guys probably know a fair bit about HTML, but did you know that you can have anything you want at all on your Facebook welcome page?

You can either use the Developers section to make an app which takes content from a canvas URL, (any web page), or you can use an app like Static HTML: iFrame Tabs.

This lets you put any HTML code on your page, and even has two bits, one for people who like the page, and one for people who haven't liked the page.

You can put Pay Pal buttons, opt-in forms, photos, videos, absolutely anything on your Facebook welcome page, and you can even make a mini-site where people can navigate through many pages without leaving the iFrame.

What are the benefits of this? Well, it's mainly good for Facebook Ads, as I think you get a better cost per click if people like your page, rather than taking them to an outside website, and you can have everything you want on the page.

I would recommend giving away something for free, like an e-book, in exchange for a like, or opt-in to your list.

Then you can have affiliate links, links to your site, payment buttons, and contact details in the e-book, along with the free information.

I hope that has taught you how to make a Facebook welcome page, I offer my services doing the HTML coding of a basic welcome page starting at fifty dollars on my site. Compared to paying monthly fees for the upgrade on sites like Pagemodo, this saves you a lot of money.

I have a feeling facebook might get upset if you put items literally anywhere on the page (ie. over their navbar)

But interesting post nonetheless, I wasn't aware of that!

I'm talking about inside the iFrame. 510 pixels wide. I can take a You Tube video embed code, and edit it so that it's 510 pixels wide, and make the code for that and a few other things, like a photo, or whatever. It's just within the iFrame. You can even have Google Adsense, cause you can have a link to your site, or a page similar to your site, that fits in the dimensions of the iFrame.

I haven't checked out Jo Barnes's site, but I've checked out Pagemodo, the most popular "free" page builder, and it's very limited in what you can do.

Besides which, it takes time and skill to design a web page that converts traffic into customers, and I usually offer a lot of helpful advice along the way, on how to make the most money from your product.

From what to put on the page to how to get a good cost per click on Facebook Ads by getting a good click-through rate etc.

Some people charge almost ten times as much for a similar service.

No, you can have anything you want on your Facebook page in the iFrame, I don't think there's anything at all you're not allowed to have, except maybe porn or malware.

I believe it's better to simply buy a design, you can find some quality ones on themeforest.

I am trying to work out a major issue with setting up an app in the Facebook developers section right now. I've set up a stand-alone fanpage for one of my niches, not linked to my personal page. It won't allow me to set up an app from the stand-alone fanpage and someone helping me from a different forum here explained that all apps have to be set up from a personal profile page.

That's all very well, but done this way, how will it function in a stand-alone fanpage?

I use facebook iframes on fan pages, and client fan pages, and they rock. It's like being able to fully customize a page within facebook. Excellent way to collect email opt ins within facebook via a fan page.

I use WIX. It's free and has good quality design & features. Explore whether you'll find something for your specific niche, as they have layouts for business, arts, sports etc.

Yes, you can install custom content in the iFrame.

This is no different than loading a premium design someone else did.

Just don't post something that looks like crap. Facebook won't ban you, but your prospective customers will.
