You're right, Mike. The BBC article says...

Outside of the EU, the treaty has also been signed by the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea.

There have been rumblings over here in Ireland for the past couple of weeks, mainly because there has been no reporting about ACTA and we feel that it was deliberately kept under the radar, unlike the states where at least SOPA seemed to be discussed openly.

As in the US, people here (including moi!) have been writing to their local Ministers, MEP's and the Minister responsible for signing the agreement - boy, did he get a bit of a bashing Even our major forum (boards dot ie) and its associated sites had an open letter to the Minister as its home page for the day to try and raise awareness.

I'm not against anti-piracy laws per se, I'm annoyed at the lack of publicity surrounding ACTA and hope that if enough internet users become aware of ACTA, it might get postponed - or maybe if we're lucky be abandoned altogether.

Only time and people-power will tell

Only had time to skim the article, will it work in the same way as SOPA? Constant monitoring and blocking users? but then completely flawed when someone types in an ip address?

For crying out loud, why they keep trying to limit us entrepeneurs. They should know they can't control everything.
