Writing the content isn`t the hard part and hosting it on my domian/hosting blog shouldn`t be a problem but what If I wanted to put the Ebook up for sale on my blog? Is it as simple as going through paypal? Any advice would be great thank you Warriors for your help and time!

Paypal is a simple free way to start off. You'll need a merchant account if you don't already have one.

On the contrary, Shane: using PayPal or another online credit-card/payment processor is a solution for people who don't want to (or can't) get a merchant account. A merchant account is a facility extended by a bank to allow traders to take credit-card payments directly, without needing to use a payment processing service like PayPal as an intermediary.

Yep, it can be that simple...create a PayPal button and in that button, put the URL of your download page. After payment users get sent there to download.

Now, there is something important to consider...when doing this you have no way to capture an email and get them on your list...and you should be doing this.

So, you'll have to consider what you're going to use to do this and this will depend on your setup. Are you using an email service now...like AWeber or MailChimp?

It is as simple as placing a Buy Now button on your page but I recommend using e-junkie or other service to help protect your downloads.

Yep, it's really as easy as placing a buy now button from PayPal on your site.

Just give your product a name, currency and price. Then get the code and put it on your site, you can also get an image and create a link within it to your checkout so that you don't have to use a paypal button.

When setting up the button, try not to make any mistakes, I spent a while trying to fix an error I made with a button, I put the price in the wrong currency, and needed to change it.

Luckily I now know how to edit existing buttons on PayPal, as once you create a button and leave PayPal, they don't really make it too clear on how to edit it once you have made it.

If you do make an error, go to your paypal account, go to profile, then saved buttons, or manage buttons, and you can edit your existing buttons, so you don't have to make twenty of them!!

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck with your eBook!

    Jack.

paypal is always an easy option thats what i use all the time

then just use an autoresponder like aweber to handle the delivery of your first email
with the link to your ebook

you can either sell your ebook direct from your blog or offer a free course first in exchange for there email address and then sell your ebook in the follow ups

your conversions would be much higher this way

First off your product must be something new to have great success, making a variation of someones else work won't bring in money. Regarding payments, I believe PayPal is the easiest way and quite popular.

While you don't want to overspend when you get your business going, you also don't want to cut corners where it will be tough to recover in the future.

Building an email list is one of those areas. I would go with Aweber from the start given that it is very tough to change autoresponders in the future. List managers make it very tough to important email addresses because so many people have abused this in the past.

If you really have a plan to succeed with your online business, then think of where you will be 6-12 months from now and pick the best service assuming where you will be at that time.

Paypal is one of the fastest and easiest to get started.

If you want to recruit affiliates, I would recommend clickbank & paydotcom.

I don't like Paypal personally because it doesn't always redirect people to you thank you page sometimes and you'll get emails saying they didn't receive your product. I would just pay the extra $49 fee and go with Clickbank. Plus, you'll naturally get affiliates with CB.

Yeah make the ebook, sign up for paypal, put the book on Clickbank and Paydotcom, create an affiliate sign up page and submit to the affiliate directories, sell it at normal price on Kindle, Tradebit, e-junkie, and payloadz... then set up a squeeze page, drive people to it, collect leads, market to them every 3 days, then lead them to your sales letter page where you promote your ebook. Easy as that.

If you are getting started to create your first eBook, Paypal is an ideal choice for you to setup payments, and attach it to your E-Junkie account.

It seems that there are many ways of going by this, as of right now I want to be able to host my product (ebook) on my blog and have the whole buy now button. I am not sure if you can use a personal paypal account for that or not?

I can't remember the different levels of PayPal account off the top of my head but their are 3 and it goes something like: personal, premier then business (or personal, business and then premier).

Can't remember all the details but you should probably upgrade to the middle one (read the TOS) which is free.
