Greetings my fellow warriors!

I think this is my first real post on here, and hopefully the first of many.

Here is a question - I have a site about 6-8 years old, which has a few months ago lost it's sole income stream. A stream which ranged between 3-4 figures pcm.

Sadly I guess all good things come to an end, and even sadder was that I didn't go for multiple income streams.

It kinda knocked me, and I nearly gave up on IM...but now I am back and I will learn from my mistakes as I move forward with new projects.

Anywho...So here I am wondering about selling advertising space.

If I was to sell 4 125x125 boxes in the sidebar of a wordpress based site...what would be a fair price to ask per month?

Last 12 months...

727,104 Visits
517,372 Unique Visitors
1,254,680 Pageviews

Last 30 days....

47,086 Visits
36,297 Unique Visitors
83,796 Pageviews

I really have no idea here.... looking for a ball park is £50, £100, £250 per month about right ?

Any other ideas how I can generate an income ??

PS I am not totally new to IM, so I am hoping to give advice on this here forum in exchange over the months/years for any feedback provided.

    This would be up to you. Why? Because you could have a site with 100,000 visitors a month generating higher income for advertisers than a site with 200,000 visitors. More people doesn't have to mean more sales.

        If your getting that volume of traffic you could go for 100 pound mark easy.

    LOL, with that much traffic you can put anything in there and expect sales to come in.

    You'll make a killing even just with adsense in there..Or maybe that's what you lost

    Try alternative ad serving sites. Even clickbank products would most probably sell
    if you have that much traffic per month.

        I have tried a few affiliate programs after my old one shut down. Non of the new ones seems to convert though.

          With that kind of traffic, try some of the ad networks that pay on the number of page views. Four ads @ $5 per thousand views at 83k page views would give you ~$1660 per month just for the ads.

          If you want to find networks, go to any major newspaper or magazine site, load a content page, and watch the stream of ad networks loading content on that page. A local news station here sometimes loads 15 different ad feeds on popular pages. Do the math...

            Thanks for the info...on the ad networks.

            How do I find them, when you say watch the streams load...do you mean watch bottom left hand browser to see sites address being displayed?

                If I can get £5 for 1,000 views times by 4 at 86k = £1,660 pm that would be nice!

      Hi, It was an affiliate income that shut down (sob)

      Adsense is not getting massive clicks and the cost per click seems low.

      That list is impressive, I am going to start going through that.

      Clickbank is something I joined and never tried...Do people really make money from the site?
