I have register a dot US (.us) domain and i´m NOT:

American,
resident in America,
domiciled in America,
have your business incorporated in America, or /# linefeed #
your organization has a 'bona fide presence' in America,

...Should I worry?

Thanks

      Thanks...

...the only conclusion I see is "registration will be rejected", from all this text!

Well the site is registered with GoDaddy (Scottsdale, Arizona) and hosted at HostGator (Houston, Texas) USA.

      Maybe it helps? !

I cannot see any kind of penalty...
...of course, if they decide to shut down the site after a lot of hard work and money, it should be enough!

Short answer? If you get caught, yes.

Let me guess. You wanted some keyword exact match and the .us was all that was available, or you want some cutesy name like call.us, right?

      You are right...

.com was not available and not an active website, so why not pick .us with 22.000 (in Phrase" and Low competition) United States Google searches and make number one in Google ?

Maybe because you could end up putting a lot of work into a digital sinkhole if the domain gets taken down?

That is also true with more than just dot us sites.

I know it is probably just the left side of my brain leaking again but the dot org was suppose to be for non-profits .. the darn things rank so well, many sites sitting on them are a lot of things but not-for-profit isn't in their description.

There is a possibility that those sites "could" be shut down.

Now I just might have a dot org lying around somewhere and to be brutally honest, some of my dot com sites should have been designated dot org if no profit was the deciding factor (those that never do .. never fail).

When I built my sites I took into full consideration that the fishing in cutoffs and cowboy boots society might demand the dot org be applied to their domain and even a stronger possibility that pork-skin making could become an Olympic sport.

I doubt you'd get caught for that? Who would think of that you might not be US or one of the things you mentioned. But I sure wouldn't build anything too important because the risk exists.

Yeah this is not allowed... in other countries, you need to present some documentation to be faxed to the domain provider to prove your nationality... you won't be able to get the country specific domain if you can't prove your location...
