How to Find Out a Website's Hosting Company?

I have a website that is blackmailing me and others. I am trying to find out who their hosting company is in order to report this. I know their registrar but they have not been helpful. Is there a way to find out what hosting company a site belongs to?

Try google chrome seo plugin. Under domain details you will find a lot of useful info let me know if that helps

Click on and go through server location Whois ip address I'm sure you can find some useful info

If you just look up their domain whois the server should be listed. If they are just using shared hosting then more often than not the name of the hosting company will be in the server name.

There is also a FF plugin that does that, i cant remember the name of the plugin but i will look for it and post it soon.

Plugin the domain here:

Domain Name Lookup, Domain Whois | DomainTools

Then click on the "server stats" tab. You'll see their host's IP address, DNS WHOIS and usually the host company name is listed there to boot so you can google it.

  I think you have plenty of resources here, but I wouldn't leave out one of my old school favorites, netcraft.com they can also tell you what the server is running and a few other interesting things, like what other sites are on that server, which helps you learn a little more about who is behind the evil empire.
