Sales Countdown Then Remove Question

So I should be posting an offer in the classifieds section in a few days and was wondering if I could automate something.

I am going to have a website with a PayPal "Buy Now" button. Upon paying, the user is taken to a website to download the product (since PayPal has this feature). The question is, I only want to sell this product to a certain number of people. So after 'X' number of people have bought the product, the offer needs to be taken down... at the LEAST, the buy now button needs to go away, but at best, the buy page needs to say the offer has been closed.

Are there any free ways to do this automatically? If you don't know of a free way, do you know of a paid way to do this?

    Ok... so a few minutes after posting this, I realize I can refuse to sell any more through the PayPal "Buy Now" button as well. But I am still open to showing a "countdown" on my page of how many items I have left, and also how to make the page automatically change after I'm sold out.

    Sorry for the quick duplicate post, but I wanted to let other people know in case they were wondering about the same thing.
