Is Site Flipping Saturated??????

I don't see the amount of sold sites or even bids that I used to. I created two great sites and I did not get any bids

I've followed all the instructions from the ebooks, advice etc. I've studied other successful sites and I just don't get it.

Maybe I'm too late to the party

Half of me is saying yes because of the amount of site flipping books out there that taught people like me about site flipping and with so many site flippers getting into the game. But half of me is saying no because you just gotta somehow make your sites stand out from the crowd.

I agree totally with biggy fat. You have got to should your site has something to offer. I just sold a site for 199 with PLR articles. What if I had used unique content?

I think your first sentence is the most telling, many folks are a lot more cautious with their money at the moment.

Most sites sold are established sites which are proving they can earn some money, build em and let them age for a while, if they are as good as you say they are then they will start to attract some traffic and some sales.

lol you'll probably be like me then and not want to sell them

    Kim

    Edit

I think this post underscores what I've said http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-flip-4-a.html

It is saturated when your creating turnkey type of sites which are yet to earn. But if the site your selling has solid income then it will still sell.

Ok then. How about the traffic issue then. I have unique articles that I have written. Should I submit those also to article directories? What is the best way to get traffic that you have found? Also thanks for the responses so far

yommys01: $199 with PLR!! Geeze. My content is all unique. I've spent time creating a custom logo, adding images for each article, images for the featured slider, adding a forum plugin with topics, an amazon widget, clickbank banners and adsense. I mean I made these sites high quality because I've seen so many "crappy" sites selling so I figured if I made something better I would have no problem. Now I've spent money listing and nothing. I don't want to keep losing money

I got into site flipping for quick money. I wasn't intersted in building sites for long term but I guess I have no choice now

Yommys01: did you sell it on sitepoint?

      This could be your problem.

When you sell anything, you have to think like a buyer first. Why are people buying flipped sites? Because they are looking for long term sites to make them money.

I think the key is to set up these sites for long term success - and then hold them for a month or 2 to have proof of profitability. Keep building them and rotating them out after a few months.

      Good luck.

        Why Your Websites Don't Sell?

A lot of flippers never sell their sites or they get a lot less then they want for them.

So what are you doing wrong if your sites do not sell?
        • You created the wrong type of content sites.
        • You put the wrong price on the site.
        • You didn't research the market.
If you spend just five minutes going over the auctions that people running at Sitepoint you will find out exactly what is selling and for what price. It is so simple!

Stop creating websites until you know exactly what people want and looking for.

        What people want?

If something is selling, you know people want it.

Yeah I sold the site on sitepoint. Here is the link ??For Sale : Money Making Site In Red Hot Dog Health Care Niche??. You are already doing the right thing but I will suggest you try to make some money before selling but that does not mean you can not sell a brand new site but you have got to work on your sales copy. The sales copy helps alot in selling sites.

Well, the market cannot be measured that way. Every market has its ups and downs.

Look, when the world economy is down (around Christmas), I managed to sold about 12 sites in 3 days.

It's really about making your sites stand out.

If your site is good, unique and somehow different than other sites on the market, you don't have to worry. You will sell it. But, if your site is same than every other site, you are in the trouble.

That is what I did. I chose topics that were selling successfully on site point. Believe me, I've done the research. I actually got analysis paralysis before I build these first two sites. Someone said just do it and see what happens and that is what I did.

    Hiya veros

What I have noticed happening on the Sitepoint marketplace is that once a site gets sold for the BIN price, the auction seems to dissapear from the marketplace.

So this may be the reason that you don't see too many sites that are sold.

    Anyone else notice this happening?

I just wrote an article about this recently actually...

The New Rules of Site Flipping

The market is defintely retracting, but there will always be a market for established sites that are really making profits...

    All the best,
