CRAP Products and CRAP people on the Warrior Forum?? I don't...

...think so!

I've heard people say that the Warrior Forum is full of crappy products and even less desirable people who are just out to make a quick buck by selling rehashed methods. While some of the methods being sold are a bit rehashed, and while there probably are a ton of sellers out there looking to make a quick buck, and not build a REAL business, I would offer that there are many QUALITY products and PEOPLE who contribute real VALUE to their list, and to their prospective buyers.

I see a TON of value being shared on and off the WF from people like Anthony Aries, Kevin Wilke, Adam Horwitz, Arron Reeves, Donald Wilson, Fuad Tolieb... just to name a few. These guys aren't just out to sell you something. They understand that, while making a quick buck might do just that, there is a greater value in establishing and maintaining relationships with people while offering just as much free value over paid value. This is how a real, sustainable business, is built.

I think the Warrior forum is one of the best launching pads a motivated individuals to find success. And I would venture a guess that most of the success stories come through a sustainable businesses being ran by real, caring people, who genuinely want to help others succeed.

That being said, I'm curious to hear your story... the story of one who might have come from nothing, and now, because of the investment from a Donald Wilson or an Adam Horwitz, coupled with your hard word and determination, you seen your dreams come true.

Was there one particular person with one particular system that you feel played a major roll in your current success? If so, it's time to brag on that person and their system - we'd love to hear your story!

Any time you put a lot of money, a lot of newbies and a lot of marketers together you're gonna get some CRAP But as soon as I learned to separate the wheat from the chaff I've almost always been happy with the products I've purchased from fellow warriors. I have seen a lot more genuine help and good information than "crap" on this forum.

As a matter of fact, I believe now if you are willing to search for it, read, study, and apply, you can build your entire business from information on this forum.

When I first read your post, it made me think of a story I posted here

    http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...ory-moral.html

You could change the title to read "Warrior Forum Is What You Make Of It".

The story is about how what you are is what you perceive in things.

            Hi there,

I'm new and still getting my way around, on the forum and in the business. I think the material is mixed as well and I read with a careful eye. But with that said I've had two AMAZING mentors from here: Michael Rasmussen and Matt Wolfe. Just bought Matt's WSO and SO worth! Esp for a newbie like me. And I viewed Micheal's MiniProfitsExposed vid last month -- I'll buy the deluxe version sometime, I promise!

So yeah, the help I`ve encountered here is amazing. Sometimes I see borderline (or so not borderline) unethical communication here though (like getting a spam PM just now, and `here`s how to hide the affiliate links so you can violate the new standards``) so yes, we need to continue to exercise due diligence.

Thanks for the interesting forum topic.

P.S. Thanks Andy, love your story of your life changing. Way to go on paying off the debt!

    Hi Aaron,

You're right. This forum is huge and we do get all types of people here, so to generalise it in the negative is a mistake.

I've been inspired and helped by many people here over the years.

When I started out in IM I had massive debts and couldn't even see when they would ever be gone. My day job was only just paying enough to cover the minimum payments on my debts.

IM is largely responsible for the fact that I'm completely debt free now and have been lucky enough to travel the world, and live in some amazing places, and even been able to help some other people realise their dreams along the way.

Many people are looking for someone else to tell them how to be successful or run their business and while it's great to be inspired by others, you need to take responsibility and accountability for your own success and it can be as easy now as ever before.

You don't need to look for gurus or well-known marketers to show you the way - there are also many newbies joining here that have amazing minds, knowledge and experience who we can all learn from.

This forum is an amazing resource.

The more you're on this forum, the more you develop out your bull**** radar. I rarely call out the charlatans anymore, and to be honest..rarely worth my time. I'd rather spend more time combing through threads to find little nuggets of gold that can help me directly make money.

I love, love, LOVE to be able to hear about a method and then I can put my brain power to figuring out a spin-method off of that to mold and shape it to make it work for me. It's not that there's nothing new under the sun, it's what idea is making me go "a HA~!" and then taking action on it.

I just wish folks thought about the consequences of their actions (or lack there of) ahead of time. Based on my experience i went and did a search for don wilson and when i saw the headline of this post ... i was like dag ... he got more than a few of us... I'm sure there are some good peeps in the WF but when you are new and a warrior is touting how great someone is among other warriors that you have yet to have an experience with... I'm like yeah right your recommendations cant be relied upon. Only takes 1 time to get burned ..just once... Bottom line is this ...JUST DO WHAT YOU SAY and make sure your product does the same!

In the short few days I've been on here, I've already seen lots of great advice, offers, and other things. And while I don't want to break the bank on a bunch of WSO's to try to eventually learn the best way to reach my minimal goals of $1500 a week every week, I can say that it's good to see that there are a bunch of people in here willing to help each other, offer sound advice, and quality products.

I know I was suspect at first with this place, as I had seen on other sites that referenced the members of the Warriorforum in something like "greedy hungry sharks that chew your head off to make a quick buck" or something to that nature. But then, I always thought that the only people that made money on IM were those that were selling products to people trying to get into IM. I've learned recently though that this is not true, and now joining this forum, I see that the "sharks" comments weren't true either.

As far as rehashed products, yeah, there are probably some in here floating around, or maybe not. But then, even with some rehashed products, I feel that there is always something new to learn from someone who may do things a little bit differently than the originator of the product that was rehashed, and so on..

This is a great place to be and to learn from. My only complaint: Trying to stay away from here so that I can actually get some work done. Lol! I'm sure I'm not the only one in here that finds themselves going back to this forum more often than they wanted to. Lol. Now if I can only make my $1500 a week and make that happen every week, I'd be in a much better predicament. lol.

Much respect to all of you in here. Keep doin' what you do!

The WF is a great place to be anytime for those of us that have a passion for Internet Marketing. Since i joined this forum two years ago, I've met a lot of great minds either personally or through their works, and i am very grateful for this forum.
I can't count how many guys and gals have helped my IM career one way or the other since i joined this place. And yes, i know there may be a few crap products or people but, in my opinion, the numbers are few compared to great products and wonderful people here.
And I'll like to use this opportunity to say thank you to Allen for creating this great site and a big thank you to all those who have contributed positively in making this place what it is today.
I'm addicted (in a good way) to this forum. The day i realized this was on the SOPA blackout day. I almost ran out of my mind, feeling helpless all through that day. It's not a situation i'll ever want to experience again!
That's how much i love the Warrior Forum.

The type of business you start depends on a few things - what you're good at, what you think you would and wouldn't enjoy.

Do you have anything right now that you're particularly talented at? If you do, we can figure out a way to monetize it. That is some of the best advice I've received. Figure out where you excel, and then figure out how to make money with it!

There may indeed be crappy products in the WSO section, but I've bought about 50 to date, and I have only got one that was pretty bad. Most have at least substantially delivered on their promise.

Maybe it is because I typically by purchase WSOs that are:

    A) By well known members with good reps
    and
    B) Are for one specific purpose or method of doing a specific thing, such as templates, PLR, or plugins. I don't typically go for the "Spend $20 on this WSO, and I'll make you a wealthy man by tomorrow by pressing this button!" style of WSOs.

So far, most of them have at least substantially delivered.

That being said; I have seen more people go out of there way to help newbies on this forum than I have on any other forum I've been on.

      Crappy products?
I paid $1,997 for a really bad product once back in the mega product launch days. And I paid $7 for one of the best IM products ever here on this forum.

Are there jerks on the WF sure thing. But the really nice good people I've met outweigh them by hundreds to one.

Great word. We must take action to see success.

2011 was a great year for me because it was the year that I really educated myself, to the tune of over $10,000 in various CB & WF products, and from that, positioned myself to be successful. And now, year 2012 is my ACTION year when I'll be putting into practice the top things I've learned that will make me the most money.

This was a great experience for me. Educating myself for a period of time without the pressure of having to see any immediate results. This really allowed a fresh perspective at the end and the ability to assess where I wanted to focus.

It certainly helps to see a variety of approached for an area
that a warrior is interested in. He can pick up insights and new
strategies by investing in more than a single WSO on a topic.
And each additional WSO can provide ever more useful information.
This can certainly help the bottom line.

Personally, I don't mind 'rehashed' products to be frank, if you think about it, if I haven't heard of a concept/program until I saw a NEW post in the WSO section, it's new info to me.

What I do have a beef with are products/techniques sold as legal techniques turns out to be bl@ck h@t that gets your Adsense/Amazon/FB etc. accounts banned and the owner just vanishes when you seek out clarification/refund/support.

Unfortunately, one of the names Aaron mentioned in the first post offered a product of that sort recently.

That said, the forum as a whole, as well as WSOs in general have been pretty great for me... Many low-value (perceived by more experienced folks as rehashed stuff) are cheap enough ($5-9 range) for its content. Yes, we can find those info everywhere on the web, but honestly, what info can't you find on the web???

While they are still overpriced items compared to a book, for example, they are still helpful to many...

Just skip the ridiculous superlative copywriting and income claims hehe.

My personal belief is that a lot of "wannabe" and "n00b" marketers come on here and automatically think that the "get rich quick niche" is the way to go ... and try to make their killing from teaching people how to get rich, even though they have never done any of this before.

There are people who will tell you the same thing about many of the freelance sites but despite my rates being a bit higher, I can still find some quality jobs on there and use them from time to time to supplement my client list and to get additional income. You have to use a little common sense, a little bit of research but there has been more valuable information for me here than there has at virtually any other site I use on a regular basis.

Having seen a good portion of the world, my experience has been that there is good and bad everywhere you go. What you see often depends solely on what you hope to find.
