People are making a killing distributing their content through the ecosystems of the big players, like Amazon, or the Apple App Store.

These companies put your products in front of their customers.

What if you could sell your video courses or video memberships directly through Youtube?

It's not possible yet, but Youtube is thinking about it!

How cool is that?

Internet marketers could take all the video courses they already have in their niches, and sell it via Youtube.

But please: no crappy products, ok, fellows?

Straight from Youtube's CEO:

YouTube isn't totally ruling out the possibility of launching subscription capabilities that content partners could leverage, however. Kamangar gave an example of being able to sign up for individual yoga channels, for instance. While he warned that it's a bit premature and that YouTube doesn't currently have a product to announce, it's definitely something YouTube is thinking about. "We're a media platform want to be biz model than media partners demand," Kamangar said.

    That would be cool, I wonder will it happen, and if so I wonder will they allow basically any product like Clickbank does. I hope not because we're tired of junk products...right IMers?

      My guess is that they would allow almost any topic/niche, except the usual no-nos. (porn, gambling, etc.)

      I'm pretty sure, though, they will have measure in place ...
      - to prevent people from selling pirated stuff
      - to delete/cancel really bad offerings quickly

          You're right! It can, and will, happen. Same is true for any income stream that's piggybacking on other people's sites or services.

          It's a dire mistake to buld a business that is dependend on those services.

          That's why smart business owners use these only as 1 of many marketing channels.

          If you're an info product marketer, you'd have your line of topics, and then you would distribute them through many, many channels.

    This is definitely something big coming for IMers... And i totally agree with you... We should all be well prepared for it, video making skills, and products should be top notch...

    I think this is a great idea and YouTube will be doing it by next year. This could be such a big revenue stream for them.
