[FREE]List of 50 Keywords having more than $50 CPC and 1000 exact searches!!!!!!!

Over the past few months I have been reading a few WSOs and ebooks about keyword research and how to build adsense websites. I read over 10 such ebooks, both paid and free, and all of these lacked some thing, something most authors thought was not very important while selecting a keyword. It is the "Average CPC". They only focused on finding keywords having more than 1000 exact searches per month in google and neglected the average CPC. Most said that a keyword having average CPC of $0.5 was good enough.

So I was doing some reading on the google blog and the videos related to adsense and adwords and found out that on an average a click on an adsense ad would fetch you about 50% of the money shown in the google adword keyword tool. So, a click on a ad related to a keyword having average CPC of $0.5 would fetch only $0.25.

I was taught in my engineering and B-school, that "Numbers do not lie". So let us do some numerical analysis here.

Keyword 1
Considering you are number 1 for the keyword
Average CPC mentioned in keyword tool= $0.5
Actual share of CPC for webmasters = 50% (approx)
Exact Searches on Google per month = 1000
Clicks received by a rank #1 website via google search = 50% (approx)
Average Click-through rate for an Adsense site = 5% (approx)
Total Monthly income = (0.5*0.5)*(1000*0.5)*0.05 = $6.25

Keyword 2
Considering you are number 1 for the keyword
Average CPC mentioned in keyword tool= $50.0
Actual share of CPC for webmasters = 50% (approx)
Exact Searches on Google per month = 1000
Clicks received by a rank #1 website via google search = 50% (approx)
Average Click-through rate for an Adsense site = 5% (approx)
Total Monthly income = (50*0.5)*(1000*0.5)*0.05 = $625

Can you see the difference?
I know it will be hard to rank for such high value keywords and you may not be number 1. What if you are number 10 in the ranking and receive 2% of the clicks? Let's do the math.
Monthly income = (50*0.5)*(1000*0.02)*0.05 = $25
Still more than being number 1 on a low value keyword.

Keeping this in mind, I have collected a list of 50 keywords that have more than $50 average CPC value and have more than 1000 local US exact searches in Google.

Hope it would be of help to you. It would be nice to know of your thoughts.

Two factors I don't believe you're taking into account:

    1. the competition for each of the keywords

E.g. are you ever going to rank among large corporations for "cheap insurance quotes", despite your best efforts? Doubtful.

    2. the way Google returns search results for anything with a location

The estimate of your share of traffic for, "personal injury attorney los angeles" is too high. Look at the results, and specifically, those with an address and map associated with them - I'd always naturally go to these, because they seem more verifiable and useful when I'm looking for something in a particular location.

Don't get me wrong - I think some of the keywords you've listed are strong. It's just important to realize all the factors that can affect your income from targeting certain phrases.

I never said it would be easy to rank for those, that is why I took a lower rank for the high value keyword. But still, it is not worth trying to build a site around a $0.5 or $1 keyword even if there is no competition. People may differ in their saying but the ROI (investment includes money, time and energy) is simply not good enough.
Everything in this world that is worth doing is tough.

There's a difference between not being easy and not being worth your time.

Remember, Google is trying its best to serve the most relevant content. When someone searches for cheap car insurance, do you think they want to see your website with a 10x 500 word articles that have keyword optimization about cheap car insurance quotes, or do you think they want to buy it from a name they trust? 9 times out of 10 (and maybe more) it'll be the latter.

The most successful niche operators find something they can compete in, as well as having ROI due to lack of competition, the way Google returns results, CPC, likely CTR, etc.

Like I said, some of your keywords are strong. You asked for our thoughts and I'm giving them to you - so to just disregard everything I say, is sort of pointless, don't you think? I make a livable wage from keyword researched, optimized and marketed articles. Do you?

I completely agree with what you say. I agree that some keywords in the list are geo specific and are hence not of much value. My whole point of the post was to make people to be aware of the importance of CPC. Most tend to neglect CPC value and give too much importance of search volume, in case of adsense sites.
I have a few adsense websites that rank well but I made the mistake of choosing low value keywords and hence it does not pay out equivalent to the amount of input I put in in doing SEO for those sites.
