What is the CoC on recruiting affiliates for a WSO?

Hi all,

I am planning to release an awesome (ahem!) WSO product next week. I am not sure about how I should recruit affiliates. Can anyone please guide me?

One could post in JV sub-forum, but then that might be considered as pre-selling? Not sure.

The other way is to post a welcome message for affiliates on the WSO thread itself. But I think being proactive is better, so is there a decent way to recruit affiliates or tell them about the launch?

Thank you.,
Neeraj.

I've never approached anyone to recruit affiliates here so... take this with a pinch of salt.

Personally I hate it when people blindly PM me asking me if I'd like to promote their product BUT I always have a look at it and if it's a good fit (and it looks good) I'll will. And I'm guessing the folk on here with tons of PM's probably don't even bother reading them anymore.

The people who approach me usually have a related WSO or were checking out threads in the main section relating to their product, read my post or comment and hit me up with a PM. Sometimes I promote, sometimes I don't.

Unless you're already talking to guys who can promote I think it's always going to be a little like cold calling unless you can get a conversation going beforehand. Are there any Skype mastermind groups you could join to start networking? Lots of people add their Skype address and you could start blog commenting too.

Of course it's never a bad thing to sell other people's stuff first as an affiliate and... then approach them with your offer.

    Hey Big Al,

I would definitely look into skype masterminds. As for selling other people's stuff first - well, its a chicken and egg situation. I cannot market other products if I am not setup myself (no list!). But thank you for the advise!

Still keen to hear about others who promote through affiliates here!

Since it's a WSO the best way might be to let your sales copy and offer speak for itself - if you're using WSO Pro.

Affiliates scan warriorplus to see what's selling, what your conversion rate is, the percentage on offer, customer feedback etc.

If you've got a good conversion rate and a good product, the affiliates will come to you - and there's a hell of a lot of them. Just be careful about who you accept.

Using WSO Pro is a good way to get some affiliates. Having that link in your WSO sales page to where affiliates can sign up on WSO Pro gets a few more eyes to the affiliate page also.
