Wso Rant #2 - Rating System Idea for WSO Testimonials.

I believe Paul Meyers said that if you are going to be blatant try to contribute something of value. (I'm paraphrasing of course.)

After posting WSO Rant #1 I started to wonder who are the people that leave testimonials, comments and reviews for WSOs? Instead of frequent comment buttons, maybe a rating system for the reviewers is more appropriate.

Suggestions below for starters:

FAKE - Friendly Ass Kisser Extreme - wants to ingratiate him/herself in any possible with the seller, will write anything. will rationalize even the most horrid of WSOs as being worthwhile.

FAKER - FAKEReviewer - never read nor purchased the WSO - always leaves positive great guy comments. If bought or received review copy will write - "worth more tha 10 times $x.00, can't believe he's giving this info away!" In many instances "friend" of seller.

SURE
- SUbjective REview - Bought or received review copy. More than likely just skimmed the WSO, doesn't really know if it's bad or good but will post positive comments anyway. If she/he read a bad WSO, will find the tiniest morsel of good to rave about. Will often say, "I knew most of the stuff in WSO but thanks for reminding what I forgot" or something to that effect.

OR - Objective Review - More like an Operating Room surgeon, meticulous and will give a true diagnosis of the WSO good or bad. Often times will get bashed for speaking out or asking the "wrong" questions. If reviewer calls seller to the carpet for apparent misleading statements and seller cannot answer, seller will resort to calling reviewer names.

NOT - No Objective Thinking - Review is often times sloppy or incoherent appears not related to the WSO. Cannot understand the points the reviewer is making. Just wants to post.

AX - AXe to grind. Reviewer has it out for seller. Leaves no stone unturned to besmirch seller. Wants to assassinate sellers reputation at all costs. Feels the seller wrong him/ her.

Don't you think if reviewers categorized themselves it would help buyers make better buying decisions?

Be careful. Don't keep posting these WSO threads. The first one was enough, they will probably end up getting deleted if you keep posting more of them. You got your message across in the first one.

That aside, there have been countless threads about reviews in the WSO forum. Nothing is going to change. The WSO forum is a marketplace just like an eBay or anything else. It is up to you to do your own research before buying - buyer beware.

There is no way to make the review process anymore credible than it already is.

WillR, relax these posts are really supposed to be tongue in cheek. I choose not to be careful. I've had posts deleted. I'm posting more rants. If we can't laugh at ourselves.... oh well.

I've spent hundreds if not thousands on WSOs and am entitled to my opinions by summarizing my experiences. Oh and BTW, one of the people on our staff bought your stuff. WE LOVE IT! oops that was a one line review!

Kidding aside, we've put your information to good use. Thanks!
