Okay,

So I was looking around for some domains and stumbled across facebookortwitter.com. It seemed like a great name so I have registered, but now I am thinking "now what". I have several different ideas of what I might do with it, but I am curious what the warriors think.

I am also wondering, now that I have done it, what Facebook or Twitter might think about me having the name.

Thoughts?

You could sell facebook likes, or twitter followers if you know that type of stuff.

You could also offer creating facebook or twitter page designs.

Yea sorry bro , this domain is property of facebook and twitter lol
Stay away from having copy written names in your domain or you will be asking for legal trouble.
    sry for the bad news

    create a likes/followers website.
buy a good wordpress theme and a couple of plugins.
Also post a few articles on the website related to facebook or twitter.
get a fan page designed with a good landing tab.
GET a few likes on the fan page.
sell the website on flippa with the plugins and the fan page with a hyped, super hyped sales letter and you will be easily able to get rid of it once in for all!!
contact me if u need any help!

Please ignore those encouraging you to sell Twitter Followers or Facebook Likes with that domain name, unless you want to risk losing your shirt.

I am pretty confident they will not like it very much. Twitter will not even allow you to sign up to Twitter with "Twitter" in your name. Sedo will not park it. Do you think Twitter would allow you to use that as a domain name?

Facebook sued Teachbook for having "Book" in the domain name and they aggressively go after sites that try to play on their name.

If I were you, I would not waste your time, because you will almost certainly get in hot water if you get found out.

You will lose the 10 bucks or so you paid for the domain name but better that than getting sued.

That site won't last long. They will make you take that site down if you decide to do anything with it, once it hits their radar and the problem is that you have both of them. You really can't use those brand terms in your domains.

you will not go far with that domain.. one or the other will send you a cease and desist order... there have been many cases that have always gone to the "named" company... don't waste another minute.

Sell it to some unexpecting fool for the price you paid for it, then inform Twitter and Facebook.

Naw - just kidding, that would be mean.

I suggest that you call the registrar that you bought it from and cancel the order by either having them refund you or exchange it for another domain. It's never good to have any trademarked terms in your domain name. You can tell your registrar that you made a mistake and that you don't want to infringe upon anyone's trademark and they will understand completely. Best of luck to you!

    Best,
    Shane

You could set up a little script where people would be able to vote to tell you if they like facebook or twitter better. Kinda like that

I like both of them. But use Facebook for personal things and Twitter for more public things.

I think that you could have copyright issues with this domain name and would suggest that you don't use it.

If you decide to use it then I wouldn't be surprised if either Facebook or Twitter issue you a writ.
