7 Tips For Newbie Networkers

# 1 Don't Quit. It is the only sure way you will fail. People will say no. Your family and friends may think you are stupid and crazy. You will sponsor people and never hear from them again. You will want to quit. You will think this is too hard. I hate to tell you that I let one of these things affect me for 6 months. Even though I was told stuff like this happens, I still got emotionally attached to people and my business. Just say NO! Get over it. Know why you decided to start in the industry go to work. The Universe will watch you and grant your wishes.

#2 Attend Your Company Meetings. Attend personal development and business building seminars. Get coaching. You've heard that saying that you are a direct result from the people you hang around. Hang around people earning 50,000 a month in this industry. Something will rub off on you. You may pick up pointers they say over dinner. Or, you may just get so pissed off that you're not influencing that many people and you'll finally start learning and doing the things you need to do to be the leader you already are. (Smile)

#3 Have a Master Mind Group. To put it nicely, don't tell your friends and family you want to quit your job, own 2 huge houses, a Benz, and work from home serving others....yadda, yadda....they will laugh at you if you are living in a van down by the river! (Smile) Frankly, if you make 200,000 dollars a year in a career you may or may not like, they may laugh at you too. Find like minded entrepreneurs that are interested in prosperity mindset and in committed to living the life that God intended for them and others. Surround yourself with a Mastermind. Protect your focus.

#4 Have a Funded Proposal. I don't think if you're doing Mary Kay that it's really the thing to do, but having informational products that you can retail to other networkers on and offline can attract people to you also. There are great affiliate programs out there. Use them until you create your own. People not as smart as you are making money and helping people in this industry. (Smile) Seriously.

#5 Build a List. Get out of using your companies replicated capture page as soon as possible. People join people not generic company sites. Learn to how to make a capture page with your own hosting, domain, and auto responder or pay someone else to do it. Building a relationship/trust with your prospects is important. It take some people longer to make a decision and they may want to see if you are really committed yourself and to your company. You may have also heard the saying, "the money is in the list." Some people will not join your opportunity because they already have one. If you sell information products for the networking community, then you'll have something to offer the other 90%.

#6 Stay with Your Company. Now, I'm wonder if I can really tell someone this, when I didn't stay with my first travel company. I made a decision to go with a competitor for certain reasons and I've never looked backed. All I can say is, if it's not working for you there, then it probably won't work anywhere else. I've seen friends of mine leave their primary business thinking they were going to make money on the other side. And of course they didn't. The reason? They didn't have the mindset or the skills to become more successful. If it's a great company, with an excellent people and comp plan, then learn the skills you need to make the income you want. Unless the company/ the people/the product turn out to be something you no longer agree with or like, then get out. There are people who come into a new company, make a lot of money off people and then leave their own out in the pasture.

#7 Read. Learn. Apply. Get success books, networking, marketing books, etc.... I've read books that I learned the same stuff somewhere else, but I didn't really get until put another way. Remember you can read all the books in the world, but if you don't apply it, then what is the point? I'm guilty of my own procrastination, but I'm working on following through myself. If you have 10 things you want to implement. Just take one and finish, then the next....you'll soon find out you have plenty of time and YOU CAN DO IT. Remember, You don't have to get it right; You just have to get it Going!

BONUS

Take Consistent Action. I'm writing this after my first two years in this industry. Even though I had a great leader in this business (Holly Powell Rocks), I still was guilty of not doing key things that would have moved my business further faster. I knew if I just did it, I may realize that I can. Then what? Start living my dreams? Find success? Could you be suffering from Fear from Success too? Are you afraid what might happen if you actually followed through on everything and kept going? You know most people quit because they realize they would have to go so far out of their comfort zone that maybe just having enough after their pay check for a pizza and six pack is ok. That's the "it's a scam" people. Yes, some programs are, but more millionaires are made from this industry than any other regardless of formal education. Diane Hochman, said on a Million Mind March open call one evening , "that the reason you don't have a huge downline is because you don't want one." Think about it. Are you ready and willing to take on the responsibility not only for yourself but others? Progress didn't come really, until I did things I knew I should have done a year ago! Just don't do something once and expect 100 people to be hunting you down. Hint: The skill and things you are avoiding the most will bring you closes to your goal.
If you are new to network marketing, Congratulations! I don't care if you having great success or failing miserably; this industry can be one most rewarding self journeys ever! It can lead you to a life by design. Even though I still have miles to go before I sleep, I had to write something to the people that I know are not getting any guidance or training about their new found profession. Tip: Wake up each day asking.... How can I serve someone today?
