Basically I wanted to know some ways that people would suggest to family or friends that could make them money. Nothing earth shattering, although the more you put in the greater the rewards might be. Something a grandma or someone could do in their spare time.

WSOs might be a little much for the audience I'm thinking of. I could see someone's head exploding from the information overload.

Another easy one for grandma would be to create a blog about a hobby and use AdSense. Probably wouldn't rake in millions, but maybe a little pocket change.

  Seriously, though, with a two-month window, it kind of eliminates anything that relies on SEO for traffic. I'd look for a hot product and create a supplement for it, then try to get a JV where my supplement is part of the package and I get a piece of the action.

- set up a proffessional look blog, offering your services

- put your blog's link in your signature

- brand yourself as a writer

- make small plr article packets and sell them

- study how other writers market their services (Tiffany Dow, AmandaT e.t.c.)

Not that its very cost effective, but Grandma could purchase an existing autopilot site that has a proven history of success.

There are also plenty of autopilot sites for sale with a proven business model, that don't have previous earning. These will be a lot cheaper but Grandma will have to find traffic herself.

My Grandma passed away a couple of years ago but I can tell you that she wouldn't take any crap from ninjas and after dealing with her they'd probably run and keep on running!

But if I had to make some fast money online I would perhaps do one of the following:

* Create and sell some PLR packs - a business that is always in demand.

* Create a product related to seniors then run a WSO and sell it with Private Label Rights.

* Create some 'how to' cooking videos and upload them to You Tube. Link back to her own 'cooking' website where she will sell a Recipe ebook that she has written.

This hasn't been mentioned yet because it is not the fastest way to make money but it does require no skill! Create a file that is in high demand, upload it to a PPD site, post a video on youtube, use sites like enhanceviews to get your video to go viral... profit!

5 - She could join Elance and put some of those old office skills of hers to good use.

6 - G-Ma used to be a bit of an artist. She could offer to create logos for other people's websites.

7 - For an old lady, she still has great hearing. I'd have her get hired to transcribe audio for other marketers.

8 - Once again, those office skills could be put to great use as a virtual assistant!

9 - With her sweet old lady voice, she'd be great as telephone support for an online business.

10 - She already uses facebook, so it wouldn't be hard to teach her how to setup a facebook fanpage. With that skill she could set up fanpages for local businesses.

11 - I'd have her go on fiverr, and for five dollars she'll sing a sweet old lady song!

12 - ...OR, for five dollars, she'll tell you in 60 seconds or less, what it was like to live in any given year that she was alive.

13 - Yet AGAIN, on fiverr, she will give an HONEST review of any of your products.

It's hard for granny's to come online at 71
and do anything on here. thats why most granny's join bizopps and rotate on traffic exchanges.

but recipes are great for granny's. i saw that suggestion by someone and thot tons of stuff to do with recipe

I can understand your frustration, I remember shaking my head at the "I need to make $3k in 4 days! Help!" threads myself.

If it makes you feel better, this wasn't one of those. I was seeing what internet marketers would put down as the simple basics of making money online. Basic as in it would be stuff marketers were extremely familiar with, and maybe the very first things they learned.

I am really more of a writer than a marketer, even though I have to understand a little because of the projects and people I work with. Without all the ninja and grandma stuff, the post would just be "What are the very basics someone starting out could use to make money online?".

I'm working on something and wanted to see if there was some type of general consensus on "basics". Just informal and fun research stuff.

I completely understand, and don't take it personally... I was just trying to put it into the perspective of a newbie. They may want the answers that had been shared in this thread and more - which is why I citied the thread initially :p

I can understand your frustration, I remember shaking my head at the "I need to make $3k in 4 days! Help!" threads myself.

If it makes you feel better, this wasn't one of those. I was seeing what internet marketers would put down as the simple basics of making money online. Basic as in it would be stuff marketers were extremely familiar with, and maybe the very first things they learned.

I am really more of a writer than a marketer, even though I have to understand a little because of the projects and people I work with. Without all the ninja and grandma stuff, the post would just be "What are the very basics someone starting out could use to make money online?".

I'm working on something and wanted to see if there was some type of general consensus on "basics". Just informal and fun research stuff.

Based on my experience of trying tons of other things and buying all kinds of stuff, this is what finally made money for me and it didn't take 2 months.

Build a list.

Ya, I know. People read that all the time and so did I. However, no one had given me the details of how to get started and step by step how to do it if you are totally not techy and have no idea how to put up a squeeze page and even before that, how to pick a profitable market, keywords and then after the page it up, how to get targeted traffic and how to convert the traffic to sales.

However, once I got that information I found it not very difficult to do and I posted this in some thread months ago as I was doing this for the first time, I think it was one week in and I made my first $34 or so dollars. I started doing that 2 or 3 times a day and then it grew.

Once I got one list "kinda working", I researched another market, keywords put up another squeeze page and did it again....etc.

Since I was doing ok, I told some other businesses about it and I got 2 who agreed to pay me for performance $100 per lead and $250 per new client even if they do only one service, one time.

And there you go. So in 5 months, I have several squeeze pages in different niches selling for me on autopilot via my pages and my autoresponders.

And I have 2 other sites getting leads for my offline clients that pay me for the leads and the clients.

I still feel like a newbie and I still don't know a lot of techy stuff and can't make my sites fancy or even understand everything I read on here, put I'm making what most people would probably be a good living and in was in a couple of months.

So that is what I would show your friend to do to save his Grandmother.

However, there is no reason for you to make a product and sell this information to anyone, because I gave it away.

2. Show in Fiverr and do something like : a Cute Grandma singing Happy Birthday
