Real Estate Site - Monetization - Affiliate Programs

by RECarolina 5 replies
I am currently building a NC and SC related website where Homeowners, Real Estate Agents, Property Mangers and such can list their properties for free. This site has only been up 2 weeks, but I am in the process of optimizing it and gaining some authority in the NC and SC Market.

In thinking down the road, I definitely want to monetize this site, either by allowing companies to place banners on the site in their locality, or affiliate links.

I see where many of the big mortgage companies have affiliate programs available, but I have concerns that these do not convert very well.

Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to go with this?
