Has anyone had any success with coaching programs?

Hi everyone,

I am interested in a coaching program. I am especially interested creating my own product. However, I am just looking for any program where the coaching is real and you actually get what you paid for.
So, if anyone has experience with a successful coaching program, please tell me.

Thanks in advance.

Yea, I've signed up for one, but I'm not active there, so I've never gotten any jobs.

If it's something you really want to do, make sure you're active, and post articles there at least once a week - use your Google calendar to remind you.

And get an article spinner. I use MassArticleCreator - it's just $47 (I think). Google it!!

I'm in Kenster's coaching program right now. It might still have some openings. Kenster is very, very real! He won't spam you with offers while he's coaching. It's not private coaching, but he is present every day for hours and is oh-so helpful. To be totally honest, I haven't made any money with it but that's mainly because I went away the week after training started and got back in January and have been sick ever since (plus I had taken on too many projects before joining), but I am getting things done and with his coaching, I know that my product is going to sell like gang busters once I get it up in a few weeks! Here's Kenster's link: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-alliance.html

I will second the motion to try out Kenster's Six Figure Alliance coaching program, which I just started a week ago and so far in only the first week it is opening up many doors and I am seeing personal results.

As another Warrior mentioned, you get out of coaching whatever you put into it. So, make sure you are dedicated to follow through and take action...TAKE MASSIVE ACTION...and know that if you fail it is only a part of the process to becoming successful.

      To your success!

Consistently, in every coaching program, the most common point of failure is in the lack of commitment and dedication of the student.

Although not always the case, most often it is the case.

I'm sure that's true and completely valid.

What worries me though is how a person knows the advice they are receiving is worthy of the dedication and commitment they are expected to make? I see so many people touting information on specific subjects which is either outdated or was never valid in the first instance. The biggest culprits often talk about SEO issues and have "SEO Services" in their sig lines.

"Who can you trust?" is what I think is behind the OP, but I don't know if there's a reliable way to answer that question. Do you follow the herd and assume that any coaching program with a high number of students will be useful, or do you follow the money and assume that any coach charging a tidy sum must know what they're talking about?
Or do you follow the testimonials, and assume they're not just made up and/or solicited?
Maybe you just have to take the plunge. Look closely at the course material (ahead of paying) and decide if it's something that fits what you need. Talk to a few people who've taken the course and try to get some honest feedback. Then just use your best judgement.
Sorry for being skeptical and adding nothing other than more uncertainty.

You bring up some valid points. My take on it is this: any coach worth their salt is not afraid to give out verifiable references. If they don't have these, then they haven't been coaching long enough. If they're not willing to share these, then run for the hills.

I remember last year I received some sales calls from two different marketing organizations who were offering IM coaching for 10k-15k. I didn't need their type of coaching at this point in my IM career, but it was funny how defensive they got when I asked for references.

"What? You don't know who [insert guru's name here] is?"
"We've got hundreds of testimonials." (It turned out that they didn't, but it didn't stop them from saying it).

Ask for references, it should be part of your due diligence.

Why do you keep referring to your signature? I wasn't addressing you specifically, I was making a general statement. Pointing to your sig once in a thread is okay when it's relevant, but doing it twice is just bad forum manners.

You are so right about the commitment to making it work...what's that saying: people do things for one of two reasons, inspiration or desperation.

Sometimes it just seems to help by getting a little leverage on yourself as to why you want to start something...and more importantly why you want to finish it (ie a course).

      Thanks for your great comments.

For me - a successful coaching program starts with a dedicated coachee and a very good coach. A good coach will challenge you, motivate you, help you think bigger than you are right now. A dedicated coachee will go out and consistently take action until they get the results.

Bl, if you are looking for a coaching program that will give you the results - chance is: you'll waste your money. You need to have commitment. If you go into coaching with the clear idea that you are responsible for all the results you want to achieve - then: you've got to look for someone who has been through what you want to achieve.

Even if they are not the greatest coach - if they've pushed through what you want to advance in - they most likely can help you with your challenges. What are they, by the way?

Hello, I am new and that is what I was looking for a coaching program that would give results. I have been told by some people that the best way to learn in IM is by coaching and not buying every mini program that someone puts out. I am interested in product creation but I have no idea about the process or what is a good product, etc. I have bought a few wso's on the subject but it didn't give me all the info that I needed. It was suggested that someone with experience would be more helpful and better use of time then trying to sit and piece everything together on my own.

I am committed and would not expect a coach to do all the work but instead help me learn the process and open my eyes to ideas and information that only someone with experience can bring.

I know all coaches are not equal and some programs are a total wast of money no matter how cheap or expensive they are. That is why I am asking if anyone has had success with some and if so who is it.

About Coaching Programs: I have been part of Jason Fladlien's 6 in 6 Program for a few months now and all I can say is that it works. It costs about $100 a month but you really get the information you need to build a business.

If you are more advanced than me, then you can just move through the prerecorded sections faster. He and his partner really put together a winner here... and they have all kinds of new webinars all the time. Good stuff.

Another guy who's stuff is top notch that I'm also using is called Hanlen Kilstein - great strategies and step by step too. But you have to get in on his courses fast or you get shut out.

    Hi bl,

Since you are new to this, I would suggest to find a WSO mentorship or a WSO course and if you need encouragement and close follow up to make sure you are staying in taking action mode than a real coaching program is also a good option.

There's a lot of reputable Internet Marketers in this forum that has amazing productc that will teach you all the basics and also how to optimize all the steps and make good amount of money from your website and/or products.

First make sure you know what you want and what you need, the IM Industry is huge and there's many many ways to make money. Than when you are ready, look for a mentor in your field that has excellent reputation.

To know the level of reputation of an internet marketer, you need to dig all the posts and read the comments from people who bought the product (Mentoring/course/WSO) and look for WSOs that has the most positive comments.

Then look for other reviews about the person and his product in other serious IM review sites to validate his reputation.

You can have good teaching for as low as 17$ and as high as thousands of dollars. My suggestion is dont go over 500$ for courses at the begining unless you need a real coach to help you not procrastinate your IM implementation.

Once you have the course or mentorship, stay focus and take actions on your mentor's strategies long enough and you will see results. It takes time and efforts too.

    Hope this help

    David

Couldn't agree more. The best part is listening to all the excuses you hear. "I don't have enough time." "That seems like a lot of work." "That's outdated." "I don't want to spend anything but I want to make $1,000 per day profit."

How can someone who has never tried the thing call it outdated? Methods work all the time, rules change that's all. Prejudging based on nothing more then a date attached to when something was originally posted is so stupid and yet it's done daily.

Excuses are like belly buttons, everyone has one and they're pretty much useless.

I think a good coach goes beyond just showing you want to do and how to do it right. They work on your mindset too which is so out of whack in most cases it's almost beyond repair.

I signed up for coaching yesterday. My coach so far seems really good. He responds quickly to many questions.

I wanted personal direction with list building. I'm flailing about with lists and simply needed guidance. So far so good. The method taught is nothing new; however being able to get specific questions about execution and funnels answered by a seasoned pro is helpful.

I never thought I'd hire a coach. However, I didn't see much downside. I'm confident the ROI will be positive as long as I complete the process. I figure it will take a couple of weeks to execute the system.

I'm actually surprised at the value so far. I ask quite a few questions and each are answered within hours. Cost me less than $1,000. Personal service like that for less than a grand isn't bad at all.

My vote is for Charles Kirkland and Keith Dougherty. I've yet to find anyone who gives and responds the way they do. Their stuff on traffic, affiliate and product creation is more hands on and detailed and unique than anything I've seen. Pick up one of their cheaper courses to see if you agree before you spend money on coaching.

In my experience you can bet on most of the stuff anyone that was in or closely related to the (now defunct) group called Practical Profits puts out; James Jones, Jason Fladlien, Keith Dougherty, John Rhodes, Wil Matos, Maria Gudelis, Charles Kirkland, Brittany Lynch, Jay Boyer, Tim Castleman...

    Bl,

We can't recommend Brent Fowler and Mind Protein highly enough. We spent over two years seeking the right coaching and mentorship in order to become a successful publishing company. Thanks to the one on one, detailed heavy and intricate coaching from the guys at Mind Protein we have done just that. In fact, within 30 days of coaching with them, we beta tested a product launch here in the Warrior Forum. Our results due to their step-by-step, take-us-by-hand process: 300 sales in 7 days! Perhaps most importantly, because Mind Protein had us properly structured and so well prepared, we are happy to report ZERO refunds. Like we said, we spent a ton of time and money investigating other coaches and these guys are miles ahead of their colleagues. You can learn more about them and all that they offer here: www dot blackswanarchitects dot com forward slash imcoaching Best wishes in your product development and launch!

I enrolled in a high-priced coaching program late in 2011. I was extremely hungry and motivated for success, and essentially worked day and night for about 4 months in building my business (it is not IM related). That was April 2012, I have been doing 4-5 figures consistently ever since. Coaching was good to teach me the basics and give me some strategy, but I would have gladly paid 10x in order to get the full breadth of information that I acquired on my own through trial-and-error.

I do highly recommend it, but I would avoid the lower-cost programs because they are only giving you the skeleton of the business world, whereas paying a few K and having non-stop coach access who would be there to give you the details to speed up your progress then its worth it in my opinion.

    Best of luck.
