Google Display Network - Worth the Effort?

I was researching the Google display network and have seen people say some pretty rough things about conversions from it. I'm looking for some honest insight and input into whether it's worth one's time with all the demands to have a nice page for the viewer to land on.

I'm not in the IM world, but in the health niche. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    There is a ton of money to be made with the display network. You can get clicks for a fraction of the price as you would on the SERPs. Brittany Lynch has a great course you can learn loads from about this very topic. Others are out there too, including one from Russ Ruffino.

    The traffic quality has fallen drastically on the display network.

    For awhile it was the happening spot. It can still be good for you if you approach it right, but Google is doing a lot of shady stuff with it right now to get more money from it. And the advertiser is the one taking the hit.

    But for the health niche there is still a ton of traffic on there. Just test and track wisely.

    Thanks for the answers guys. So far I have yes it's good, but need training, and declining quality that needs a lot of tracking and tweaking. Anyone else?
