Selling Multiple Items on CB -- Separate Accounts?

I currently sell one item on CB, but I want to add several more related products.

Although CB says I can sell multiple items under one account, the process seems a little clunky to me. For example, I would continue to have only one listing in the marketplace, and I would have to use the same hoplink target url (landing page) regardless of which product my affiliates happen to be promoting. That doesn't sound good to me.

CB also says I can simply set up separate accounts for each product. This seems like the best solution for selling multiple items.

What does everyone else think?

It is, partly because you get (as you commented) only one Marketplace listing. You're also limited to one commission-rate, too, I think?

Many people seem to recommend Adrian Ling's "Easy Click Mate" software for managing multiple products within one account. It, and Adrian himself, certainly have a widespread good reputation.

If you want additional accounts for each product, as so many vendors seem to, at least ClickBank charges only $29.95 as the product activation fee for each new account, rather than $49.95.

      Thanks, Alexa,
I'll look into the software you mentioned. It's all about scale, so figuring out a way to manage many, many products would be essential, I think.

For the time being, I'm probably looking at no more than 2-3 products, so maybe setting up separate accounts would be the most practical choice.

I have several products on Clickbank and they're all under separate accounts. I simply paid the activation fee on all of them. No big deal.

Whats nice is that its easy to manage. You simply login using the Master Control Console, and you can view sales right across the board for each product.

I currently have 4 items but I choose to have them all under one account because I do not want all my products to have affiliates. If I do choose to have affiliates for a 2nd product then I can always create a "contract" for affiliates that I personally approve.

Dr Mani gave me this info. but you can have multiple products on different pages, you can guide affiliates there with this code:

    http ://clickbank.net/sell.cgi?AFFILIATEID_VENDORID/ProductNumber/ProductName

(added a space after http so it shows properly)

I do not sell multiple products on the same site, but the same product, sometimes at a discount price for a JV - this code allows me to do that.

      Does this code still works?

And if yes, what's the ProductName at the end about?

AffiliateID = my CB ID, OK
VENDORID = The vendors CB ID, OK
ProductNumber = 1,2,3 or whatever goes to the specific landing page, OK
ProductName = ?? here I'm a bit lost to be honest, does this need the Folder name where my product is at my domain?

      Thanks for helping herewith.

With that working, I save myself the price of ClickMate (not that this software isn't wort the price, just don't need 95% of t's features).

It Would be good to set up separate accounts for each product its quite comfortable to handle and raises flexibility for setting up different niches.

You can add codes each of your affiliate links for better tracking.

Or you can use separate accounts altogether.

    Your choice.

Thanks, there are some tips I didn't know about there. What about if you have a view to selling up a particular product at some point in the future, I mean, flip it, or whatever? What would be the best way to carve up your accounts to make that simple?

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Mark, your accounts are all separate, so selling a site, along with its associated product isnt an issue.

The only issue Ive had in the past is how best to handle the money held within the account. Lets say for instance, you have $800 in an account that you're wanting to sell. In my experience its easier to add that $800 to the sale price, then simply hand it over to the new buyer.

Everything is pretty much straight forward. Once the sale is finalised, you give the new owner the login details, and they then update the account settings to suit themselves.

Just create a new Clickbank account, tell them that you already have a product in the Clickbank marketplace, and that you would like to create a new product for the marketplace, and they will let you get another product in for $29.95.

I think managing all products under one account should not be a problem... But it all depends upon choices and ease......
