Private Investigation - Risky Online Business?

Good evening folks,

I'm looking for a little guidance really. To cut a long story short, I've worked within the Private Investigation field for some time now, the opportunity has arose to take limited services online which I've gladly welcomed. The website, design & content aren't a problem, however receiving payments and e-commerce in general isn't exactly a strong point.

I was under the impression it would be a simple case of linking my business PayPal account to the websites payment system and bingo! Unfortunately I've stumbled across a number of business owners that have had their PayPal accounts permanently limited due to reasons unknown or deemed "high risk" due to the nature of the business.

It seems this is a recurring theme with a number of online payment-processors, Google Checkout and 2Checkout are some more examples of companies clamping down on their clientele. As we are new to the online scene, we are not to sure on where we fit in, how do they classify a high risk business?

We are a legit business looking to take our services online, we'll be offering strictly matrimonial based services with background checks available also - we do not break any laws.

The process of getting set up was a breeze until now, the task of choosing the 'right' payment processor (or even a way for us to do it ourselves!) is very daunting - any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
