How Do I find Advertisers for My Websites / Directories?
I have been been very fortunate. I have a major niche corporation that pays me every month to host banners on two pages of my website. These are banners they created, so there was no work involved on my part except to post them.
I have had to sign an agreement that I would not host banners or advertising from other competing companies in this industry.
They have advertised on my website for a number of years (many) and they pay me a yearly rate to host the banners. The money I get is not substantial but there was not much work involved.
I was approached by a different company about placing a text link ad on one of my other pages. Again the amount is not substantial ($25.00 per month, 3 month minimum). They have been advertising on the same page for almost 3 years.
Both of these companies sought out my website and wanted to advertise on my site. (BTW: My site is an authority site in my niche).
I did not seek out these advertisers, they found me.
My question is this:
How do you go about seeking advertisers for your websites, or directories?
Do you cold call, send out e-mails, make videos saying you have available ad space?
Do you post banners that say "This Space Available"?
Is there a company that will sell ad space for you?
Are there companies that will sell text and / or banner advertising for your website?
Any direction on this would be appreciated. And I hope there are a number of Warriors who are in the same boat.
And sure, I do run adsense on some of my pages, but I would prefer to find advertisers.
