Do I add a link feed?

I am building my first blog. I believe I can provide a very authoritative and content rich resource, have decent copy, compelling email capture, and offer a unique product and a couple of price points. I think the initial design will be good and I have a solid product development plan. (Once I'm satisfied with the evolution and quality of the product and have tested copy and conversion etc, I will need some help with a JV and affiliate marketing plan!)

For a guy starting out, what do you think of link feeds where any blogger browsing your site can submit a link to their blogs of related content? Will the link feed bring me more traffic? Will it pull people away from my page?

I'm really excited about the road I'm on!! I've got a way to go, but I'm really starting to put the pieces together!
