Strange e-Junkie Cart behavior with PayPal Standard - Anyone Else?

Hello,

I'm an e-junkie user and today I added a book to my list of products to my e-junkie account (my other product is a digital download that works fine) and I'm having a problem with tax and shipping being reflected properly on the PayPal checkout page.

I'm using the e-junkie cart on the purchase page on my website (with PayPal web payments standard). The problem I'm having is that when I click the paypal button out of the EJ cart and am redirected to paypal checkout page to pay, the price listed on PayPal doesn't include tax or shipping. If there is a discount applied in the EJ cart, then this discount price, however, DOES carry over.

On my site the EJ cart DOES do all of the tax and shipping (plus or minus a discount correctly) and the total cost calculation is correct. But it just seems that PayPal is not getting the sales tax (when applicable) and shipping data (which is flat rate) for some reason.

EJunkie told me that when one logs in to pay that everything is reflected properly one you login in. They didn't have an answer for those who don't have a paypal account.

PayPal told me that the price you see on the checkout screen is the final price and it won't change regardless of whether you login to pay or not.

Thank you very much for reading this far and I appreciate any advice you can offer. I'm already an EJ customer and I really like them, but if I can't fix this I'm going to have to try to find another cart provider which I really don't want to do.

Best,
R
