Hello Everyone

I would like to change text on an image.

How can I do this.

I do not know or have photoshop and so I can't use that, but is there any other program that I can use to change the text on an image easily?

You could use paint from your OS (if you're using windows). Paint accept formats like PNG, TIFF, GIF, JPG so I think you should not have any problems with changing title of your picture.

As mentioned above, Gimp is a freely available image editing tool you can easily find by search. Gimp is a powerful editor and can do nearly anything you need it to for basic image editing. It does allow you to add text in many fonts, sizes, and styles.

What is the current format of the text you wish to change?

If you want a software to just add the text for you, you might want to look at check out picfont.

In Photoshop, and other file design programs the wording is usually a separate layer from the background, and the words in that layer can be changed until the image has been flattened (made into a single layer).

If the image has been flattened in Photoshop, or saved in a flat file format such as jpeg, gif, or png you can't change the words. They are now part of the image.

The only way you can change the wording on a flattened file is to "paint" over the words with the exact same color as the background behind the words. Once you have covered all the words (changed them to the same color as the background) you can add new words and flatten that image.

Not every image editor can do the thing you want. You first have to use cloning tool to cover the old text, taking some suitable pixels from the neighborhood. This tool just copies everything from the selected source (which can be on the same image or on another) to the destination and can literally do miracles. When the old text is gone and everything looks nice and natural, you can use the text tool to type in your own text--which is of course the simpler part of the task.
