How I DOUBLED My Twitter Followers Overnight for FREE!

Hey Warriors,

I'm not sure if this is a method that everyone knows about or not, but I do know that it doubled my twitter followers overnight. I had 177 followers last night and today I have over 360 and counting...

What did I do?

I went to these following links and followed as many people as I could until it told me I reached my limit. I plan on doing it again as soon as it stops telling me my limit has been reached. I'm thinking within 24 hours.

Also, this was extremely helpful as well: How to use Twitter's auto and back follow hashtags 45+ to get more followers @Trafficious - seo, social media, followers

None of the above sites have anything to do with me, nor am I selling any twitter related services... Just thought I'd share the success and tips. I hope it helps at least a few people! Enjoy!

Best,
Shane

Edit: I'm now at 445 followers up from 177 just a day and a half ago with less than an hour of work put into it!

UPDATE: I NOW HAVE 4,300+ FOLLOWERS!

Not a bad idea to get quick followers to build your credibility, but the quality of the followers you get this way will be very low.

I would recommend waiting 48 hours, then go to ManageFlitter and unfollow everyone who hasn't followed you back. Then repeat your process.

When you get above 1,000 followers you'll have some credibility and you should shift your focus to building a targeted followers list. (The credibility you'll have is coming from social proof- more followers means people think you're important and they should be following you as well)

      Thanks Dan!

However, many/most of the people that I followed are in the IM niche, which is my niche, so the quality would be high I imagine, since they are targeted. Especially at this link: https://twitter.com/?list_id=leadersthatfollowback1#!/Jesus_Miracles_/leadersthatfollowback1/members

    Hello Shane,

    Thanks for sharing this information...

What I understand from this thread is that I need to follow people with lots of followers. Is that right?!

But, my question is that how can I get followers?!

Plus, how can I benefit from followers...

since I hear that posting in twitter could lead to scam issue?!

From my understanding, about 40-50% of people that you follow will follow you back... and these particular lists are of people that are likely to follow you back. As long as you get people that are in YOUR niche to follow you and you provide them with valuable content, tweets, links, offers, etc. in can only stand to benefit you as well as your followers.

Also, I think you meant "spam" not "scam" and yes, if you post offers 50-100+ times a day on twitter than you would be considered a "spammer" by many and you would likely have many people unfollow you.

But there are many ways to monetize "targeted" twitter followers. They are just people after all and if you have something to offer that they WANT... you're golden. That's marketing 101.

      Best,
      Shane

Yea.. I've gotten over 200 followers within the past 24 hours. At this rate I can build several thousand followers over the next few weeks! Best of luck to you as well!

i dont think that any of those followers are actually going to become a potential customer plus you are going to get a lot of unwanted tweets and messages.

Thanks. I know this method has been around, but my OP was not so much the trick, but those SPECIFIC links that I shared have some great twitter followers that will follow you back and are somewhat niche specific.

I appreciate and respect your opinion. We'll see about that though... Once some of these marketers that are now following see some of the things I have to offer and my various sites, etc. I wager that it will be worth my time. I do agree that the constant tweets from others is annoying.

In fact, I've already gotten new members on my gig site from the new twitter followers that I got from last night to today...

Yeah the fastest way to get new Twitter followers is to follow someone else in your niche. Just seemed like you put this strategy on overdrive.

    Thanks for the links

I guess these are good for people who are in the IM niche

But I would not recommend this method for people in completely unrelated niches. Targeted followers go a long way, but random followers who have absolutely no interest in what your account is about are not going to be anywhere near as valuable

Again thanks for sharing - I am sure a lot of people will benefit from these

      You're welcome!

Yes, again, the ones that I shared are primarily in the IM niche. If you wanted followers in a different niche, you could simply search twitter for keywords related to your niche and then follow those people who come up in the results.

However, finding follow-back lists like these and using services such as the ones that a few members mentioned are also very helpful.

I hope this thread has helped some people already!

EDIT: As of last night, I now have 415 followers, up from 350 just 12 hours ago!

This has a been done a lot. The idea behind it is that a reasonably high % of twitter users will follow anyone who follows them. This % is rapidly falling as ordinary people are discovered that following too many people is a waste of time. Around 30-40% will follow you back if you follow them. Follow 100 people and you should see 30-40 new followers.

A slightly more sophisticated technique is to search twitter for people tweeting about things you tweet about and follow all of them. This way you will get followers in your niche.

However, these people are very, very low value. The reason being is that they are the kind of people who just follow anyone who asks them - the upshot being that they get so many tweets they don't bother reading them.

It used to be the case that this technique was used to quickly build up a following not to sell to the followers but just to be seen to have a few 100 followers. Unfortunately, most people are wise to this and check the ratio of followers to following. If you have 5000 followers and follow 5000 others this is obviously less impressive that having 5000 followers and following 12 others.

At this stage of the game, as with everything, it is only worth your time using twitter naturally rather than trying to take a shortcut or attempting to get around the system.

That is a neat trick, I made a quick iMacros script to Press the follow button. So go to the list page and press the play button on the Macro and it starts pressing the follow button on all the users in the list.

Steps to get the Macro working:
      1. Install Firefox/Chrome iMacros Browser Addon.
      2. Download the attached Zip > Extract.
      3. Transfer the .iim file in the zip to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\iMacros\Macros\
      4. Load iMacros in browser > select the macros you downloaded.
      5. Go to the page which has the Follow buttons > Press play.
