"I Just PM'ed You! Bad Download Link On WSO."

It amazes me how many times I go to buy a WSO or read through the comments of a WSO that I am interested in and see SEVERAL that mention a "Bad Download Link."

It happens a lot!

I have decided against buying a WSO more than once based on the comments that complain about BAD payment links. What really gets me is that often there are MANY complaints in the same thread. Which means that not only did the seller NOT test the link before offering the WSO, but they didn't fix it after they were made aware of the problem.

And many of these comments are made on WSO with really STRONG sales letters that are well-written, informative, and effective. You would think that someone who takes the time to write such compelling copy would never overlook the most important feature....capturing payment.

I can only imagine how many thousands of dollars have been lost in potential sales becasue a Warrior has clicked on a "Bad Payment Link" and, instead of leaving a comment or a PM has just clicked away and gone on to the next one.

The good news is that if you use the WSO as a testing ground then you are getting the bugs out before you realease to the public who are much more likely to pass you by.

Please, for your own sake, always check your payment links and gateways. If people are willing to give you their money the least you can do is TAKE IT!

My two cents...

      Mark -

I've noticed the same thing. No matter how great your sales copy is - if the download is delayed or emails with download link don't arrive or the link is bad it gives me the impression that maybe you don't know as much as your sales copy claims.

When several post reporting the same problem I have to wonder why the problem hasn't been fixed.

It's an old trick people use to make the thread look busy.
As soon as people have a problem they post about it.
Then the OP can reply with excuses etc.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Anyone can create a bad download link or make a simple mistake. After the WSO seller has been notified of the bad link a few times it should be simple to correct the mistake.

Or better still, tell everyone that's it's due to the huge volume
of sales messing up his server, and that he's working round the clock
to deliver the download manually, and not to forget to post in the thread in case he misses anyone.

          That's too funny!

That's sneaky. I get it, although it's a risk because it seems like it would turn people off. I would rather have a thread on fire with legitimate comments and compliments...but I guess it works 'cause I see it a ton.

    It gets worse Mark...

When this happens the buyer PM's the seller asking for the correct link. 50 times a day buyers REPLY TO THE PM EMAIL, which does nothing but come directly to me. The buyer never gets the response from the seller.

Since I get so many of these a day I don't have time to bother correcting them.

So if anyone is reading this that does this, please read the PM emails you are getting. The big line that says DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL...that should give a hint :-)

    Hi Mark,
I couldn't agree with you more; one has to check that all the links work before you launch a big campain.
You find a real great product and then you cannot pay for it because the link is not working right; just another lost sale!!!
