I am thinking of launching an wso

1. For those who make thousands from WSO's and of course there will be some customers who do refunds, how do you handle the refunds?

2. Did paypal ever freeze your paypal account because of the WSO income and or refunds?

    Hey there,

    1. Whenever I launch a WSO I offer a full 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee... Unless your product is very expensive it's just not worth the time and risk with getting PayPal involved to decline a refund.

    2. Aslong as you don't suddenly get a spike of 20,000 + instead of a average day of maybe one or two sales you should be fine, and just make a quality product so your refund rate will be so low PayPal won't even realise as long as you honour your money back guarantee.

That's one of the things that increases the chances of their freezing your account.

If you don't always have substantial reserves to cover potential refunds, that makes them nervous. (Wouldn't you also worry about someone doing that, perhaps, a little, if you were PayPal?) Just saying ...

With Paypal, you're always going to be asking yourself these kinds of questions - guessing as to how they will react to various aspects of your perfectly legitimate business. While you don't want to be careless by any means, that guessing game is one you simply won't win.

Expect them to take a close look at you at some point, during which they will be freezing your funds. If and when this happens, give them all the information they ask for, be polite, and hope they do the right thing and release your money.

I've personally learned that once you've been put through the wringer and come out on the other side with an unfrozen account in good standing, you don't spend so much time playing their guessing game any more.

You know paypal can go into your bank account and take the money back if they consider any suspicous activity. If you are going to do that, withdraw the money and transfer it to a different account.

About the refunds. Just refund anybody that isn't happy with the product, it will save yourself alot of hassle!

I was at a point where I used PayPal as my main payment processor and withdraw 1,000's daily. No problems even after a month of consistent withdrawals.

They don't have to right to take it back unless it's in regards to a dispute or unauthorized transaction, but if your making that much money, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Plus you can just call your bank and tell them to cancel the withdrawal.

Read there terms. It's part of the contract. They actually have the right to sieze money (that has come from paypal) from the bank account linked to the account if for any reason they think that the person has broken there terms.

I didn't believe it either but somebody actually pointed me to the link which it read something along those lines.

And you have the cheek to come onto a forum you only joined this month and flame Alexa -possibly one of the most respected member on the forum - saying she doesn't know what she is talking about. I am sorry but you are new here and you have to learn on the WF we are all profesionals and show each other respect.

            Woah, conflicting opionins here!

Firstly - if this is your first WSO, I thoroughly recommend purchasing a WSO Pro license from Mike Lantz. For just $19, it automates your payment processing (and handles refunds too!) and allows affiliates to promote for you REALLY easily

Secondly - the whole "Paypal" thang... All I can say is if you are going to withdraw funds... just don't take it all the way down to zero, leave a few hundred in there at any time. From what I can gather, Paypal gets antsy when people frequently empty their account, especially business / vendor accounts. This is for the precise reason mentioned above... that thehy want to see you have funds sat there to cover any refunds.

I DO NOT recommend emptying your account all the time, leave some money in there... keep them happy. Also, if your account does get frozen, BE LIKE THE FONZ.... COOL. Work with them, be polite, be professional. Dont get mad and scream at them.

If you want to be really certain of not alarming them with your launch, then offer 100% commissions to your affiliates... and grow a list of buyers to make more money in the long run...

            Peace and chocolate fudge cake

Actually, YOU are the one who has NO idea.

Paypal allow customers to dispute transactions for anywhere up to 45 days or so I believe. If you go and sell 100 products tomorrow and you then go and remove all that money from your account, all of a sudden you are a risk to Paypal. If all of those customers come asking for their money back then Paypal has no way to give them the money from your account.

            This is common sense.

Whilst not every account that does this will get frozen, it is one thing that will definitely put you on their radar and increases your chances of getting blocked at some stage. It might not happen today, it might not happen tomorrow, but it's very likely it will happen if you continue doing this.

Paypal also has the right to take back any money you owe them from linked bank accounts. You give them this right when you sign up and agree to their terms. Just because you don't understand their terms properly does not mean the rules do not exist.

Not so. Paypal can and will take money from your linked bank account even if the balance of that bank account is zero. So transferring your funds away is not going to solve anything. If they want the money they will get it.

    1. I offer a 100% guarantee on all of my products, so I of course refund their purchase.

    2. Nope.
