Wordpress Site Stats - Random 500 visits

Today I noticed a jump in traffic in WP site stats...

It reports an extra 500 visits to the contact page of the site.

I thought I got spammed by some contact form bot... but I checked the e-mail and did not receive any contact queries....

Where did these 500 visits come from and why?
Could it be a glitch in the site stats?

    Yeah, that sounds like I could be a glitch. But then again, if 500 people were taken to a contact page and they had no reason to contact you, it does not surprise me that no one used the form. Very weird. Maybe someone just wanted to drive traffic somewhere for some reason and your page was the lucky winner.
