Submission is driving me crazy!

I am very confused about submission of these items:

Web Submission
Directories Submission
Search engines Submission
Social Networking Submission

Are these the same thing or a different one?
Are all of them submitted with the same tools or different ones?
Please try to educate me on that!

    I'm not good at explaining these things but if you google them you will most likely find some good answers. That's what I would do.

    - Web submission means nothing to anyone.

    - Directory submission is when a site is submitted to the online directories:

    - Search Engine Submission: You can also submit your website to the search engines like Google etc.

    - Social Networking Submission: Submit your stories to social networking communities like digg, squidoo etc.

    Here's a couple more...

    Article submission: Submit your articles to the article depots or directories.

    Bookmarking: Submit your urls with your content to the bookmarking sites.

    All the rest can be submitted also:

    - Podcasts:

    - Press Releases:

    - RSS Feeds:

    - Videos:

    There are online and desktop submitters, free and paid submitters and you can outsource the submissions for all these different pieces of content.



    These are just different ways people interact with the internet and different ways/methods for us marketers to reach people.
