PageRank downgraded - help please!

Hi Roomies

I have a number of sites I am trying to develop, two of which have just been downgraded in terms of PageRank from 4 to 3 and 2 to 1 respectively. Both sites are WP, black hat free and hosted on separate ip addresses at separate hosts.

The only thing I can see that they have in common is a plug-in installed called Digi Link Doctor, which I use to repair broken links and send link juice back to site home page as the sites were bought as closeouts at auction and I wanted to maximise on any previous link building the sites may have enjoyed.

Confused and frustrated and soon to be bald if I pull any more hair out!!

Please help - Thanks

Why are you concerned so much with the PR of your website? There are far more important things to be worried about.

What I believe happened is that some of the links you had back to your website were either downgraded in PR of that page, or possibly removed.

Unless, maybe you are planning to sell a website, these days, Page Rank is of very little importance. Don't worry about it.

Yea, page rank is not that important. Focus on links and position. Webmaster tools

I wouldn't focus a whole lot on Page Rank. Page Rank is way overrated. Focus on your On-site SEO and building quality backlinks. You'll be fine.

Are you ranking well? Receiving traffic? Earning money? These are the metrics you SHOULD be concerned witu, not scratting around worrying about pagerank.

Hate to repeat everyone else here in the forum, but PageRank isn't that important post Panda. Focus on your content and you'll bounce back in no time flat.

Don't worry about PR too much, as long as you maintain your position in Google for targeted keywords, you are okay.

It could have happen because Google discovered many junk links. But like others said, don't pay too much attention to that. Good luck!

I lost pagerank relatively recently as well...I was at 4 for a long time and then went to 3...But then I looked at a few more folks with a blog about at my size in my niche and they were downgraded as well...

like someone said, don't spend too much time worrying about page rank...
