You might have seen this somewhere but I thought I'd just let everyone know that this works and I have done this.

Here is something I did that has gradually made me money. Nothing to retire on but it woks. This is affiliate marketing at its easiest!

Find a affiliate network that has a program for people looking for a place to stay. The keywords here are flatshare, houseshare, flatmate, flat etc

I use flatmateclick from affiliatefuture.co.uk Sign up to the program
Get your unique link
Use TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a Tiny URL to reduce link size

Google "classified ads" and other variations.
and post up something like this to the right sections

This is what I've been using

"Are you still searching for a place to stay but just can't seem to find a decent place that satisfies your criteria ? Maybe I can help you. Theres this website that lets you put in your criterias such as price, area, room, toilets, shopping

      LOL I'm making a little each week, I'm not even gonna say how much I made its pathetic but taking into account that I'm not doing this seriously. I probably spent 1 hour doing this and it brought me in £17 ~ about $25 so in theory it could be $25 an hour. Bear in mind that ads will be seen posted even if it was 5-6 days ago. It boring work
      Maybe ROBOFORM should help.
