How much would this website be worth?

K, this is the situation:

- ranking on page 1 for at least 3 keyword terms (local business related to health), one of them is a 320 searches per month term.
- domain is a PR2
- website is already built
- high PR sites pointing to it (backlinks)

If I wanna sell it, how much could I sell it for?

    Depends on the market.

Competition, niche, has it made any sales? You didn't really give us much to go on.

I can't believe you just said that lol.

Anyways...You haven't given enough info on the site. As someone above said, it's worth what the buyer is willing to pay at this point.

It's not hard to have sites ranking #1 for keywords...how much traffic are we talking?

I'm going to say it's worth nothing. Unless the domain has value, or we're talking quite a bit of traffic for those phrases.

well, 123worth said my website is worth $2k, and estibot said it's worth $0 haha.

Ok, so it's not like an affiliate website, it's on the cosmetic surgery niche, for a specific city. It's just a pretty basic site that talks about the service that a surgeon would offer, etc. The domain is pretty new, and I'm planning on selling it to a local business or something since it's got page 1 rankings already.

Does that help? And btw, thanks for the feedback guys.

    • What you should do is set up a list building software, social media, etc and start driving traffic to the site as well as making some money.

Once you can make some money, you will have a better understanding of what to price it for.

General rule of thumb for a quick flip is 2x yearly revenue. Honestly though, whatever the buyer is willing to pay is what it is worth!

You need to be monetizing it in some way. As of right now its not really worth anything.

If its getting traffic and you can convert them into leads for cosmetic surgeons then you could definitely approach some in your city and try selling it.

But it has to be doing more than just ranking for the keyword first.

    Hi

Cosmetic Surgery is big money and depends on constant new leads.

If you want to sell the site, set it up as a sharp site then contact local cosmetic surgons and show them the site. Let them know it is for sale and ask for an offer. It doesn't need to be making money for it to be a valuable lead generating site for a business.

Alternately, as someone said above, you could start building a list of leads. Set up a contact us form and add a questionnaire to get more info: age, weight, type of surgery interested in,etc. Offer a pamphlet/ebook on a patient's perspective of cosmetic surgery to entice opt-ins.

Then sell the client profile leads directly to local cosmetic clinics, or add the list of warm leads as added value to the sale of the website.

Charging for display ads and directory listings can also add a nice regular monthly income by renting directly to local businesses for a fee.

I have no idea about what you could get so best to let the businesses 'make an offer'. If there are a few interested business you could get a decent offer.

Thanks for the replies guys, they really help.

Now, if for example the google rankings are not bringing enough traffic to the site, how else could I bring traffic to it? Maybe Adwords, facebook ads anyone...?

    Just looking for alternate ways.

    Thanks again =)

Uh, maybe this is the wrong time to ask but since you are on the subject of selling websites, is it even possible to sell a blog? Do people really do that?

How can you do that if the blog is under your user id and all that. I am not sure if you can add on admins then take yourself off and transfer that way or if you lose your whole account...?

Also another question you mention your site is a PR2 do people sell all kinds of sites no matter what the page rank? I suppose it's about the SERP and backlinks and fact that it's already built that will make it easy to continue the pyramid.

A blog is just a website with comments and different page formatting. I sold my last one for $50,000.

You can sell a website for about 10 times the monthly income. Other than that, the only real answer is "however much someone is willing to pay" which is about the same as "how long is a piece of string?"
